AMD’s April 2025 Computex preview left open the possibility of another Radeon RX 9000-series graphics card, but that possibility was speculation—not a confirmed reveal. At Computex, AMD announced the Radeon RX 9060 XT, offered in 8 GB and 16 GB versions, and positioned it for 1440p gaming with FSR 4 and accelerated ray tracing.
What AMD had teased before Computex 2025
HotHardware published its preview on April 24, 2025, before the event. AMD had confirmed a press conference with announcements spanning gaming, AI PCs and enterprise. The prospect of a new Radeon RX 9000-series card was a forecast in that preview, not an announcement AMD had already made. Read the April 24 preview.
What AMD announced for gaming
AMD announced the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025. In its May 20 release, AMD described the RDNA 4 card as designed for 1440p gaming, with FSR 4 machine-learning upscaling and accelerated ray tracing. Those are AMD’s product positioning claims; the cited announcement does not provide independent benchmark results. See AMD’s May 20 announcement.
Two memory configurations and their launch prices
| Configuration | Suggested launch price |
|---|---|
| Radeon RX 9060 XT 8 GB | $299 |
| Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB | $349 |
These were AMD’s suggested launch prices in May 2025, not verified current retail prices. AMD said cards were expected from board partners Acer, ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX and Yeston; that announcement does not establish current stock or availability.
#1 Best Overall
- Axial-tech fans now feature a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- 2.5-slot design allows for greater build compatibility while maintaining cooling performance
- 0dB technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence
- Dual BIOS switch lets you toggle between Quiet and Performance BIOS profiles
- Dual ball fan bearings last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs
FSR 4 and AMD’s other gaming focus
AMD’s official Computex 2025 event page framed FSR 4 as exclusive to Radeon RX 9000-series cards at the time described on that page. The page also featured the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D as a mobile gaming processor. These details show the breadth of AMD’s gaming messaging at the event, but do not constitute independent testing of either product.
What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The confirmed outcome was an RX 9060 XT announcement, with two memory configurations and AMD’s stated 1440p, FSR 4 and ray-tracing positioning. The available cited material does not establish how the card performs against competing GPUs: it includes no independent benchmark or named third-party comparison. A performance ranking would therefore go beyond what these sources support.
