To stop using Meta AI by voice on Ray-Ban Meta glasses, open the paired Meta AI app and turn off voice controls in its voice or privacy preferences. Deleting voice recordings already stored by Meta is a separate action, and turning off voice controls is not confirmed as a way to disable the cameras or electrically switch off the microphones.
Turn off Hey Meta and voice controls

Open the Meta AI app paired with your glasses.

Look in the app’s voice or privacy preferences for the voice-controls setting, then switch it off. Meta says this setting lets you decide whether to use Meta AI and can be changed whenever you choose. The current official overview does not document a precise, screen-by-screen menu path, so labels and placement may differ by app version.
Meta describes this as turning off voice use of Meta AI. It does not establish that the setting electrically disables the microphones or prevents every possible audio capture.
Delete previously stored Meta AI voice recordings
Turning off voice controls and deleting recordings are separate tasks. Meta says users can delete their Meta AI voice recordings through the app’s privacy or data controls, but its official overview does not specify the current tap-by-tap deletion path. Look for the available controls in the Meta AI app.

Meta says information deleted this way will not be used for future training. It also says a model does not change immediately just because information it learned from has been deleted. See Meta’s Responsible Innovation in AI Glasses & Quest FAQ.
Does turning off voice controls stop the camera?
Do not treat voice controls as a master camera-off switch. Meta discusses voice preferences separately from capture preferences. Its system card describes camera-based AI prompts that use the camera when a user asks for a prompt requiring visual context; it does not say that disabling voice controls prevents camera use for other features.

Meta says taking photos or recording videos for the gallery or streaming activates the glasses’ notification and capture LEDs. It also says the glasses prevent photo or video capture when the capture light is covered.
