Yes—the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is listed as a 5G phone by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the U.S. Whether your particular phone can activate and use 5G depends on its exact model, carrier acceptance, account and plan, and coverage where you use it. Matching a band alone does not guarantee service.

What the U.S. carriers list for the Galaxy S25 Ultra

The published specifications below indicate 5G support, but they are not guarantees of coverage, signal quality, or speed at a particular address.

Carrier Published 5G information What to verify
AT&T AT&T lists 5G bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n30, n38, n41, n66, n77, n78, n257, and n260. Its 5G+ supported bands include n77 C-Band, n77 3.45 GHz, and n260. See AT&T’s Galaxy S25 Ultra device page. Confirm that AT&T accepts the specific phone and that 5G service is available where you need it.
T-Mobile T-Mobile lists 5G bands n1, n2, n5, n7, n25, n28, n41, n66, n71, n77, n78, n258, n260, and n261. See T-Mobile’s Galaxy S25 Ultra page. Confirm the exact model and eligibility for your intended service or plan.
Verizon Verizon identifies the phone as supporting 5G and 5G Ultra Wideband; its 5G information lists n77 and n78. See Verizon’s Galaxy S25 Ultra page. Ask Verizon to check the particular phone and your plan.

Why the model number matters

“Galaxy S25 Ultra” can refer to devices intended for different regions or carrying different model numbers. The band comparison above is based on U.S. carrier materials; it should not be applied automatically to an international S25 Ultra or a foreign carrier.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Series Business Specification Sheet, with information current as of January 22, 2025, says: “Check with your carrier for availability and details.” Its guidance is especially relevant if you are bringing an unlocked or imported phone rather than buying a carrier-sold unit. Read Samsung’s specification sheet.

Check your exact phone before buying or activating it

  1. Find the model number. Check the phone’s label, box, or settings and note the full model identifier, not just “Galaxy S25 Ultra.”
  2. Check whether it is locked. A phone locked to another carrier may need to be unlocked before it can be used elsewhere.
  3. Ask the intended carrier to check the device. Use its current compatibility checker or contact support with the model number and IMEI. Ask whether that specific unit can be activated on your account and plan.
  4. Check local coverage. Confirm the carrier’s current coverage for the places you expect to use the phone; a compatible device cannot connect to a network that is not available there.
