There is no one physical-release answer for the entire Final Fantasy VII series. Availability depends on the exact game, platform, edition, and region. Confirm the format on Square Enix’s page for that specific edition, then check a retailer in your region for the matching platform and current stock.
Check the exact game and platform first
“Final Fantasy VII” can mean several different games and releases. Note the full title, including subtitles such as REMAKE INTERGRADE or REBIRTH, and identify the platform you want. A console edition may be physical while a PC edition of the same game is digital-only.
For example, Square Enix lists REMAKE INTERGRADE’s PS5 Standard Edition as available physically and digitally, while its Steam and Epic Games Store Standard Editions are digital-only.
Verify the format on the official edition page
Look for explicit wording such as “physical,” “disc,” “cartridge,” or “digital only.” Check the exact edition rather than assuming that a format applies to every tier or platform.

- REMAKE: Square Enix’s support page says the Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a reversible cover, a SteelBook case, a physical soundtrack, and a physical artbook. - REBIRTH: Square Enix describes the Standard Edition as physical and digital, and the Deluxe Edition as physical-only. Check the publisher’s edition information for the precise edition details.
A platform announcement is not enough to establish physical availability: Square Enix’s February 29, 2024 REBIRTH announcement confirms the PS5 launch, but a launch announcement alone does not confirm a disc edition.
Compare the listing with the edition you want
Before ordering, match the product listing against the publisher’s details. The physical REMAKE INTERGRADE & REBIRTH Twin Pack is listed by Square Enix’s North American Store as a PS5 package containing both games, with a December 4, 2025 release date. The European Square Enix Store listing provides regional corroboration. Listings can differ by region, so confirm the store region and package contents before buying.

“Physical edition” does not by itself establish that all game data is on the disc; confirm that detail separately if it matters to your purchase.

The North American Square Enix Store lists physical editions of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION with a planned April 8, 2027 release date. Because that date is in the future, treat the format and schedule as currently listed plans and check the product page again before ordering.
