ASRock’s July 5, 2021 announcement named Intel 300-, 400- and 500-series boards and X299, along with AMD AM4 300-, 400- and 500-series boards and TRX40, as supporting Windows 11. That historical chipset list is a starting point—not proof that a complete PC is eligible. Your exact processor, firmware settings and the other Windows 11 requirements still matter.
What did ASRock announce?
In a release dated July 5, 2021, ASRock identified motherboard chipset families that it said supported Windows 11. The company also qualified that actual support could vary based on Microsoft’s official Windows 11 release. The release is not a current inventory of every ASRock board, its latest BIOS, or every compatible system configuration. ASRock’s announcement

Is my ASRock motherboard compatible with Windows 11?
A match with one of the listed chipsets does not establish that the whole PC meets Windows 11 requirements. Microsoft’s current requirements include a compatible 64-bit processor or SoC, UEFI firmware that is Secure Boot capable, and TPM version 2.0. Microsoft also specifies memory, storage, graphics and display requirements. Check your CPU against Microsoft’s supported-processor information and check your exact board and BIOS with ASRock; do not infer eligibility from the chipset family alone. Microsoft’s Windows 11 specifications and system requirements
ASRock’s 2021 list names chipset families rather than every individual board model or a current BIOS version. For a present-day decision, use the support information for your exact ASRock motherboard alongside Microsoft’s current requirements.

Does my ASRock motherboard need a TPM 2.0 module?
Not necessarily. ASRock’s July 1, 2021 FAQ says Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) or AMD CPU firmware TPM (fTPM), when enabled in UEFI BIOS, can provide the TPM 2.0 feature without a separate TPM 2.0 hardware module. ASRock’s TPM 2.0 FAQ
This addresses the TPM feature only; it does not establish that the processor, firmware or rest of the PC meets Windows 11 requirements. Check the manual or support page for your specific board, since BIOS labels and menu locations can differ.

How do I enable TPM 2.0 on an ASRock motherboard?
- Restart the PC and enter UEFI BIOS. The key or method for entering setup can vary by system; consult the exact board’s manual if needed.
- For an Intel system, open the BIOS Security page and enable Intel PTT, as directed by ASRock.
- For an AMD system, open Advanced > CPU Configuration and enable the AMD fTPM switch, as directed by ASRock.
- If enabling PTT or fTPM for a new Windows 11 installation, ASRock recommends disabling CSM. Check your board’s manual for the relevant setting and any board-specific menu differences.
- Save the changes and restart. If the option is missing or named differently, consult the support page and BIOS documentation for the exact motherboard rather than assuming every ASRock BIOS uses the same layout.
ASRock’s guidance is about enabling firmware TPM and configuring CSM for a new installation; it does not replace checking the processor, Secure Boot capability or the remaining system requirements.
