It is one of three processor choices, and ASUS also lists two laptop-GPU configurations, so the headline specification does not describe every GR70.
Which compact PC has AMD’s 16-core V-Cache mobile CPU?
It is the ASUS ROG GR70. ASUS’s product page lists the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D alongside the Ryzen 9 9955HX and Ryzen 9 8940HX. The GR70 is therefore offered with the 9955HX3D as an option; the listing does not establish that every system ships with it.
AMD describes the processor as its “world’s fastest mobile gaming processor with exclusive 2nd Gen AMD 3D V-Cache technology.” That is AMD’s promotional characterization, not an independent comparative finding. AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D specifications and ASUS ROG GR70 product page identify the chip and system.
What the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D brings
AMD specifies the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D as a Zen 5 mobile processor with 16 cores and 32 threads. Its boost clock is up to 5.4 GHz, and it has 128 MB of L3 cache. AMD lists a 55 W default TDP and a configurable range of 55 W to 75 W; those figures describe the processor’s power specifications, not a guaranteed operating level in every GR70 configuration.

GR70 configurations and upgrade access
ASUS lists NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 laptop graphics. These are laptop GPU configurations, not desktop graphics cards; the model names alone do not establish desktop-equivalent performance. Buyers should verify the processor and GPU in the specific regional listing before comparing prices or expected performance.
ASUS also lists DDR5 SO-DIMM memory access and support for up to two M.2 SSDs. Its connectivity specifications include two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 2.1 ports, USB4 Type-C, and 2.5 GbE LAN; the product page also lists Wi-Fi 7. Check the exact configuration and regional product listing for the included memory, storage, and full port details.

What AMD’s gaming figures do—and do not—show
AMD publishes results of 110 FPS in Black Myth: Wukong, which it says is 5% higher than Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX, and 192 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, a stated 13% uplift against the same processor. These are AMD-published figures, not independent ROG GR70 review results. They should not be read as a measured frame rate for every GR70: the available figures do not establish the mini PC’s exact configuration or guarantee results in a particular game setup.
