The Razer Basilisk V3 is a wired, right-handed gaming mouse with 11 programmable buttons, Chroma RGB lighting and a four-way scroll wheel. The “43% off” claim is based on older Amazon deal reports, not a verified current offer: PCWorld reported $39.98 against $69.99 in September 2025 and $39.99 against $69.99 in April 2024. Check the current listing before buying.
What the Basilisk V3 offers
Razer’s product page describes the Basilisk V3 as a wired mouse for right-handed use. Its Speedflex cable means it is not a wireless model and does not have a battery. The mouse combines an ergonomic shape with programmable controls and customizable lighting.
11 programmable buttons
Razer lists 11 programmable buttons. The controls include 10 easy-access buttons and a profile-switch button underneath the mouse. Razer says users can assign actions such as push-to-talk, ping, macros and other secondary functions. Button placement and the right-handed shape are worth considering if you want to reach controls without changing your grip.
Chroma RGB lighting
The Basilisk V3 supports Razer Chroma RGB. Razer’s launch announcement describes 11 lighting zones and customizable effects. Lighting is a customization feature; it does not change the mouse’s wired connectivity or button count.

That combination can be useful for switching between controlled movement and quickly moving through long pages or documents.
Is it actually 43% off now?
The 43% figure comes from historical coverage. PCWorld reported an Amazon price of $39.98, down from $69.99, on September 19, 2025 (PCWorld’s September 2025 deal report). In an earlier report dated April 3, 2024, PCWorld cited $39.99 against $69.99 (PCWorld’s April 2024 deal report).

Who should consider it?
The Basilisk V3 may suit someone who wants an extensive set of programmable controls, a right-handed ergonomic shape and a wheel that can switch between notched and free-spinning scrolling. Its wired connection is a practical constraint if you specifically want a wireless mouse or a battery-powered setup. Before choosing it over another model, compare connection type, button placement, weight, wheel modes, sensor specifications and current price; the available information here does not establish a head-to-head performance winner.
