There is not enough verified BoKS product information here to name a winner or make a reliable feature-by-feature comparison. First identify the exact BoKS product and version in use; then compare its documented capabilities with the specific BeyondTrust or Delinea products that match your needs. PAM suites cover different jobs, so a broad platform label alone does not establish that two products are equivalent.
Start by identifying what “BoKS” means in your environment
A fair comparison depends on the exact product, version, deployment, and implementation being evaluated. The materials available for this comparison do not establish BoKS’s product identity or its technical details. They therefore cannot confirm its ownership, supported platforms, deployment options, managed account types, features, support lifecycle, or pricing.
Before shortlisting alternatives, record the BoKS product name and version from your organization’s deployment records, contract, or vendor documentation. Document what is actually configured and used in production, rather than assuming that a feature is present because it appears in a product description or legacy deployment.
- Deployment model and architecture, including any constraints on hosting or network access.
- Operating systems, infrastructure, and account types currently managed.
- Functions in production: for example, credential storage, rotation, session controls, or endpoint elevation.
- Integrations, custom workflows, and operational dependencies that a replacement would need to preserve.
- Support status, upgrade path, and the documentation that applies to your exact version.
Compare the PAM job, not just the platform name
Privileged access management can refer to several related but distinct jobs: finding privileged accounts, protecting credentials, controlling and auditing sessions, granting remote access, limiting endpoint privileges, or governing cloud permissions. A vendor’s broad platform or suite description does not prove that every product in it provides every capability.

BeyondTrust’s product materials describe Password Safe for privileged credentials and secrets and session management, Privileged Remote Access for managed remote access, Endpoint Privilege Management, Entitle for cloud permissions, and Pathfinder identity-security capabilities. Its Privileged Remote Access product information names Windows, Mac, and Linux among supported platforms. These are vendor descriptions, not independent tests of product performance.
Delinea’s product catalogue lists Secret Server, Privileged Remote Access, Server PAM, Privilege Manager, and controls for cloud entitlements. Select the specific Delinea product that addresses the requirement; do not treat the catalogue as one undifferentiated product or assume that its listed offerings are equivalent to BoKS.
Use this comparison matrix
Fill the BoKS column from documentation for the exact version and deployment under review. For each alternative, distinguish capabilities included in the proposed product from those requiring a separate module, integration, or additional service.

Run the same proof of concept for every shortlisted option
A proof of concept (POC) turns product claims into checks against your own accounts, systems, and operating requirements. Use comparable test cases and record whether each capability is native to the proposed product, depends on another module or integration, or is unavailable.

- Discover accounts: select representative systems and account types, run discovery, and record coverage, exclusions, and the work needed to bring accounts under management.
- Rotate credentials: test the account types and rotation schedules you require. Confirm how failures are reported and how dependent services recover when a rotation does not complete cleanly.
- Control privileged sessions: test approval, access windows, session capture, review, and any required replay. Check that the resulting records meet your audit and retention requirements.
- Exercise exceptions: test time-limited access, emergency access, and the approval or review process for each. Confirm how exceptional use is recorded.
- Test external access: use a representative vendor-access scenario and check how access is granted, constrained, monitored, and ended.
- Evaluate endpoint elevation: test the applications and administrative actions users need, as well as the least-privilege restrictions your organization requires.
- Check cloud and service identities: use the providers and identity types relevant to your environment; verify which permissions and actions the selected product can govern.
- Review operations and recovery: check reporting, integrations, high availability, backup and recovery, migration paths, and the support process against your operational needs.
Check costs and constraints before selecting a finalist
The available materials do not establish BoKS pricing or comparable prices for the BeyondTrust and Delinea products. Obtain a written, scoped proposal for each candidate instead of comparing suite names or assumed list prices.
- Request the licensing basis and identify which products, modules, integrations, and services are included.
- Include implementation, migration, training, ongoing administration, and any infrastructure or hosting requirements in the cost comparison.
- Verify deployment choices, regional hosting, platform support, high availability, and support lifecycle in current documentation for the exact products and versions proposed.
- Ask vendors to distinguish standard product functionality from custom work, third-party dependencies, or roadmap statements.
Delinea publishes a comparison of its products with BeyondTrust. Because that comparison is vendor-authored, treat it as Delinea’s positioning rather than independent evidence. Apply the same evidence standard to claims from any vendor: request documentation and test the requirement in your own environment.

Make the decision on verified fit
Score each candidate against the same prioritized requirements, using evidence from product documentation, a POC, and the written proposal. Mark unknowns explicitly rather than interpreting missing information as either support or failure. A defensible comparison is possible once BoKS’s exact product and implementation are documented; until then, the available evidence supports a shortlist and evaluation method, not a product verdict.
