A missing sportsbook bonus may be waiting to post, or a condition such as opt-in, a promo code, eligibility, wager type, odds, or timing may not have been met. If the stated crediting window has passed, save the offer details and ask the sportsbook which requirement it believes is unmet.
Check the promotion’s requirements
Open the exact offer you accepted and review its terms as they applied when you enrolled. Sportsbooks can set different requirements for different promotions, so a qualifying wager for one offer may not qualify for another. Operator help pages point customers to checks such as activation, codes, deposits, wagers, and eligible games.
- Activation: Did you have to opt in or activate the offer before wagering?
- Promo code: Was a code required, and did you enter it in the required place and by the stated deadline?
- Customer eligibility: Was the offer for new customers, existing customers, or a specific group of accounts?
- Deposit: Did the offer require a deposit of a particular amount or method?
- Qualifying wager: Did the bet meet the minimum stake, odds, bet-type, event, and settlement conditions in the terms? Check whether the wager had to use cash rather than bonus funds.
- Promotion dates: Did you complete each step while the offer was active?
- Eligible games or markets: Was your event or market included?
For example, betPARX’s New Jersey help page lists opt-in, a promo code, a qualifying wager, deposit amount, and eligible games among the checks customers should make. These are troubleshooting prompts, not universal rules: consult the terms for your own offer. betPARX New Jersey Help Center
Confirm that you and your wager were eligible
Meeting the wager conditions may not be enough if the account or location does not qualify. Check the offer’s age, account-status, and location restrictions, along with any other eligibility rules. Location can mean where you physically were when using the sportsbook, not just the address on your account.

FanDuel’s New Jersey terms, for example, describe eligibility conditions that include holding an account, being physically in New Jersey, being at least 21, and meeting offer-specific requirements. That example applies to those New Jersey terms; it does not establish eligibility rules for other states or offers. Check the version that applied when you joined the promotion. Check when the reward is due and when it expires
Look for both the crediting deadline and the period you have to use the reward once it arrives. A reward that has not posted immediately may still be within the offer’s stated processing window.

As one offer-specific example, ESPN BET’s “Make Any Sportsbook Bet, Get $225” terms say qualifying bonus bets are applied within 72 hours and must be used within seven days of receipt. The terms also require applying an offer code during registration and placing a qualifying cash wager. Those timings and requirements apply to that offer, not to sportsbook bonuses generally. If your offer gives a processing window, wait until it ends before treating the credit as overdue. Also note the expiry date: the clock may start when the reward is credited, rather than when you place the qualifying bet.

Gather evidence and contact the sportsbook
If the conditions appear satisfied and the reward is still missing, contact the operator through its official support channel. Keep your message factual and ask support to identify the specific requirement it believes was not met and the applicable crediting window.
- The promotion name and a copy or screenshot of its terms.
- Screenshots showing activation, code entry, or account status, if available.
- Your deposit and wager details, including the date, stake, odds, event, and bet type.
- Relevant confirmation emails, app messages, or support correspondence.
- A short timeline showing when you opted in, deposited, bet, and expected the reward.

If support does not resolve the dispute
Find the regulator responsible for sports wagering where you placed the bet and follow that regulator’s official complaint procedure. Complaint forms, deadlines, and possible remedies vary by jurisdiction; the available rules do not establish one U.S.-wide process or deadline.
State rules can also specify what promotion terms must disclose. Ohio’s Rule 3775-16-09, effective October 26, 2024, requires clear and unambiguous rules, including active and expiration times, eligibility, wagering and redemption requirements, eligible wagers, and cancellation requirements. Kentucky’s 809 KAR 10:002, effective July 1, 2024, addresses promotion disclosures and requires information about cancelling participation in promotions involving restricted credits, including what happens to unrestricted funds and restricted credits. Do not deposit more money or place additional wagers just to try to trigger a disputed bonus until you understand the offer and the operator’s explanation. If you are considering cancelling participation, ask support what would happen to your balance and promotion status first. Whether cancellation is available and what funds would be returned depends on the promotion terms and local rules.
