The Grifta was designed as two controller halves that could be joined into a conventional gamepad or used apart. Its grip size changed by swapping among three interchangeable soft-silicone handles—not by telescoping or resizing the controller body. Those features were described during its 2015 Kickstarter campaign; present-day availability and support are unverified.
How the Grifta gamepad split and changed size
Grifta was a modular game controller built around separate left- and right-hand units. A bridge could connect the mirrored halves for a more conventional gamepad arrangement, or the halves could be separated for split use. Contemporary reporting described the left unit with a directional pad and joystick, and the right unit with ABXY face buttons; controls were described on both sides.
The size adjustment came from three interchangeable soft-silicone handles. Swapping handles was intended to change the grip’s size and feel for different hands. The campaign and contemporary coverage described this design, but do not establish how comfortable it was in practice.
What configurations were announced
Campaign-era descriptions presented several ways to use the controller:

- Mobile or tablet mounting: Mounting concepts were also mentioned.
These were campaign-era configurations and accessory plans. The available sources do not establish that every accessory became available or remains supported.
Campaign-era compatibility
New Atlas reported compatibility with Windows, Android and PlayStation 3. The same 2015-era report said PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One would require an adapter. These dated claims should not be taken as confirmation of compatibility with current operating systems, consoles, adapters or individual games.

What the Kickstarter figures show—and do not show
The Kickstarter campaign ran from February 16 to April 2, 2015. Its campaign page records 1,544 backers and £124,949 pledged toward a £65,000 goal. Those figures describe campaign pledges; they are not sales totals, shipment counts or proof that every reward was delivered.
The campaign presented Grifta as a performance-focused controller. Its headline said: “A flat gamepad can’t compete. This controller is designed to provide performance and speed. You can even use it with your gaming mouse.” That is promotional language from the campaign, not an independent performance finding.

Can you buy a Grifta now?
Current retail availability is unverified. Historical marketplace pages and user reports from 2017–2018 do not confirm present stock, seller reliability or an official current store. Nor does successful Kickstarter funding establish that all rewards shipped. If you are searching, “Grifta gamepad” is the clearest product term; treat listings for the bridge, grips, Antlers, adapters or mobile mounts as unconfirmed until a current seller listing verifies the specific item.
