It covered the 13-inch Surface Pro 11th Edition with Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The keyboard and stylus were not included, so whether it was a good buy depended partly on the cost of the accessories you needed.

What the Surface Pro 11 offers
Microsoft’s Surface Pro 11th Edition specifications identify the Snapdragon X Plus X1P64100 as a 10-core processor with a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU rated at 45 TOPS. The 13-inch display has a 2880 × 1920 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. These are specifications, not independent performance-test results.
HotHardware’s deal article additionally listed a maximum multi-core clock speed of up to 3.4GHz, 42MB of total cache and Adreno GPU performance of 3.8 TFLOPS. Attribute those processor figures to that article; they are not a substitute for workload-specific testing.

Battery-life claims need context
The deal article described battery life as up to 14 hours. Microsoft’s fact sheet explains that its battery figures come from preproduction devices tested under controlled video-playback or web-browsing conditions and that actual runtime varies. Treat the figure as a test-based claim, not a promise of a full day for every workload. Microsoft’s Surface Pro 11th Edition fact sheet provides the test qualification.
Budget for the accessories you need
The reported $799.99 offer was for the tablet alone. If you plan to use the Surface Pro as a laptop replacement, check the price of a compatible keyboard before comparing the deal with a conventional laptop. Microsoft’s 11th Edition fact sheet lists compatibility with the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard; confirm that a specific accessory listing supports the 11th Edition rather than assuming that a keyboard for another Surface Pro generation will fit.

Microsoft’s September 2026 announcement says, “Slim Pen and Surface Keyboard are sold separately.” That wording concerns the products in that announcement, not proof that every Surface Pro bundle or generation has the same accessories. Check the exact model’s package contents and compatibility before buying. Microsoft’s September 23, 2026 announcement covers its newer 12-inch products.
Do not confuse it with a 12-inch Surface Pro
The deal was for the 13-inch 11th Edition with Snapdragon X Plus. It was not either of the 12-inch Surface Pro models. Microsoft’s US Store page showed the first-generation 12-inch Surface Pro with Snapdragon X Plus at $749.99 for an 8GB RAM/256GB SSD configuration and $949.99 for a 16GB RAM/256GB SSD configuration when observed on October 4, 2026. These were observed prices for a different model, not current quotes guaranteed to remain available. Check Microsoft’s US Surface Pro 12-inch configuration page for live pricing and package details.
