If a Fortnite skin is missing after purchase, first make sure you’re signed in to the Epic account that received the purchase. Then clear Locker filters and check Archived items. For a recent console or Samsung-device purchase, allow up to two hours for delivery; if Fortnite says the item was removed, check for a refund or payment reversal instead.

Find out which account received the purchase

Compare the email address on your purchase receipt with the Epic account currently signed in to Fortnite. Epic says the receipt is sent to the email associated with the Epic account used for the purchase. If you use more than one Epic account, the skin may be on a different one. Epic’s missing Locker item guidance

Search every relevant Locker view

  1. Open the Locker and select the category that matches the missing item.
  2. Clear any active filters and apply the changes.
  3. Check the Archived view; archived items do not appear in the usual Locker view.

If you still cannot find the item after checking the correct account and these views, contact Epic Player Support.

If the purchase was made on a console or Samsung device

For certain console and Samsung-device purchases, Epic’s guidance says an item may take up to two hours to appear. Confirm that Fortnite is using the Epic account associated with the purchase, and check that the device’s date, time, and time zone are correct. If the item remains missing, Epic’s indexed guidance recommends reinstalling Fortnite from the account that made the purchase; if that does not resolve it, contact the platform’s support team. Fortnite eGift Card
  • Redeemable on accounts in the United States and in U.S. Dollars.
  • Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
  • If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts
  • Requires internet connection, valid Epic account and prior acceptance of the terms
  • Redemption: Online

Check whether Fortnite says the item was removed

A removal message points to a different problem from an item that is merely hidden or delayed. Epic lists a refund or payment reversal, a gift sender’s reversal, and a specified Xbox exploit among possible reasons for removing an item or V-Bucks. Epic says Player Support cannot restore items removed this way. If you think the removal was a mistake, ask the provider that processed the payment for details. For a purchase made through Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Apple, or Google, contact that platform’s support channel. Epic’s removal guidance

Check that your platform account is linked to the right Epic account

Purchased content and progress are accessible across linked Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, and mobile accounts when they are connected to the same Epic account. V-Bucks are an exception to this sharing guidance. If the platform account is linked to a different Epic account than the one shown on your receipt, review the account link before assuming the purchase disappeared. Epic’s platform account guidance

Cosmetics cannot be transferred manually between Epic accounts

Epic says cosmetics stay on the account where they were purchased, earned, or claimed; neither Epic Support nor a player can manually move them to another Epic account. If the issue is an incorrectly linked platform account, relinking may address that account-link problem, but it does not transfer an item between Epic accounts. For a recent eligible purchase, you may be able to return the item and buy it again on the intended account. Epic’s account transfer guidance

Know when a return or refund applies

A missing skin is not automatically a refund issue. Epic’s in-game Cancel Purchase option can undo a mistaken V-Bucks Item Shop purchase within 24 hours only if the item has not been used or equipped. An eligible Return Ticket can be used for an item bought within the last 30 days; returning it removes the item and returns V-Bucks. Epic says accounts start with three tickets, gain one every 365 days, and can hold at most three. Support cannot grant extra tickets after the 24-hour Cancel Purchase period has passed. Some purchase categories, including passes, gifts, and developer-island purchases, are excluded. Epic’s item refund guidance

Fortnite Physical Gift Card
  • An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
  • If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
  • The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
  • Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
  • Redemption: Online

If you bought through a console or mobile store outside Epic, that store handles the refund; Epic says it cannot process those refunds itself. Contact the store that processed the purchase. Epic’s third-party purchase refund guidance
