To promote tour dates on Instagram, send fans to a current artist events page or ticket listing, then share that destination through your profile link or a Story. Instagram is the route to the information; the events page or ticket site is where fans check show details and find the ticket option.
Choose where fans should land
Before posting, make sure each announced show has a current listing and a working ticket destination. A single artist events page can gather upcoming shows and point fans toward ticket options. Bandsintown describes its Events Landing Page as a shortened URL unique to an artist’s upcoming events, designed to be shared on social media and in a bio: How to Use And Share Your Events Landing Page.
You can share that page directly, or place an artist events profile in a link hub if you want your Instagram profile to offer several destinations. The right choice depends on whether you want a direct route to shows or a hub that also includes other links.
Use a direct artist events page
Copy the artist events-page URL and use it as the tour destination. Bandsintown’s guide describes sharing its Events Landing Page URL in a social profile or Story so fans can reach upcoming event details and ticket options. The guide dates to 2019, so confirm the current Instagram controls in the app rather than relying on its exact interface directions: Posting Your Events Promotion Page on Socials & Online.

Use a link hub for tour links and other destinations
Linktree’s Tours and Events link can use an artist’s Seated or Bandsintown profile URL. That gives fans a tour-specific destination within a broader link page. Linktree’s Help Center documents the setup process: How to add a Tours and Events Link.
Set up the tour link in Linktree

Open your Linktree admin and add a link.

Give it a clear title, such as “Tour dates” or “Tickets.”

Configure the link’s display settings, then check the public page to confirm the tour link is easy to spot.

These steps follow Linktree’s documented feature workflow. Linktree also recommends promoting the tour link through an Instagram bio, show-announcement captions, and digital posters or QR codes; that is vendor guidance, not a measured guarantee of ticket sales: Make show dates stand out with Tours and Events Links.
Share the destination on Instagram
Put the tour destination on your profile
Copy your events-page URL, or your link hub URL if you are using one, and add it through the profile link settings available in your current Instagram app. Bandsintown’s guide describes using an events-page URL in a bio, and Linktree recommends placing its tour link where profile visitors can find it. Instagram’s current interface, eligibility rules, link limits, and regional availability are not established by the cited product documentation, so check the controls shown on your account rather than assuming a particular menu path or limit.

Use a Story for a show announcement
For a show announcement, Bandsintown’s guide describes sharing the events-page URL in an Instagram Story and saving that Story to a Highlight. Because that guide is not confirmation of Instagram’s current controls or account eligibility, check the Story link options available in your app before posting. A Highlight can keep a tour announcement accessible after the original Story is no longer prominent.
Check the fan’s path before you promote
Open the destination as a fan would, ideally on a phone, and verify that the route is clear from Instagram to the correct show and ticket option. Check the listing itself rather than assuming an events page has complete or current details.

Open the ticket destination for each show and make sure it leads to the correct event.

Make the link title specific enough that fans know it contains dates or tickets.

Where Spotify for Artists fits
Spotify for Artists is a separate discovery surface, not an Instagram ticket feature. Its Live Events page describes artist-profile event listings with ticket links supplied by ticketing partners. It also says Bandsintown can be used to generate listings if a ticket provider is not a partner. This can complement Instagram promotion, but it does not replace choosing and sharing a destination for Instagram visitors.
What Instagram does—and does not—do in this workflow
The documented approach here uses Instagram to direct fans to artist event information and ticket destinations. The cited sources do not establish Instagram’s current native ticketing features, ticket-payment processing, ticketing integrations, account eligibility, or link limits. Do not assume a ticket sale happens inside Instagram; confirm the current controls in your app and tell fans clearly where the link will take them.
