Choose Premier Protein if you prioritize protein with fewer listed calories
Its US label reports 30 g protein in an 11.5 fl oz shake with 160 calories. It is a dairy-protein product, not a named whey powder: the listed protein ingredients are milk protein concentrate and calcium caseinate. Its 0 g added sugar does not mean zero total sugar; the same label lists 1 g total sugar.
Choose Huel if you want a plant-based meal-style bottle

How to compare protein, calories, and serving sizes
Start with the serving size on each label. Premier reports per 11.5 fl oz shake, Huel per 500 ml bottle, and Alpro per 100 ml; comparing the headline numbers without those units can mislead. Alpro’s 15 g per bottle is a calculation from its published per-100-ml values, not a separately quoted bottle figure.
- Compare both protein per package and calories per package, then decide whether you want a supplement-sized drink or a meal-sized one.
- Use per-100-ml figures only as an additional way to normalize drink concentration; they do not make differently intended products equivalent.
- Distinguish total sugars from added sugars. Premier lists both; Alpro’s cited page lists sugars but not added sugars.
- Check the exact package for current ingredients, allergens, and nutrition. Product formulations and market-specific labels may differ.
Dairy protein, plant protein, and allergens
Premier’s caramel shake uses dairy milk-protein ingredients and declares milk and soy. Alpro’s example is plant-based but soy-based, with pea protein as well. “Plant-based” should not be read as “free from common allergens.” Review the allergen statement on the bottle or carton, especially when buying a formulation from a different country or retailer.

The supported examples establish that caramel drinks are available with dairy and plant proteins, but they do not establish that plant-based caramel drinks generally match whey products for protein. A current caramel whey powder with verified serving size, ingredients, and nutrition is not established among these examples. If comparing a scoop-prepared powder, use its current manufacturer label and account for the liquid used, because preparation changes the finished drink’s calories and protein per volume.
