Quest eligibility depends on the individual objective: check whether it appears after selecting your mode, then verify that its progress counter moves when you try it.
How to check whether a quest counts in Team Rumble

Select Team Rumble, or the other mode where you plan to play.

Attempt the objective, then check the quest’s progress counter. Seeing the quest in the list is useful, but the counter is the practical confirmation that your actions are registering.
-
If the quest is missing or its counter does not advance, switch to a mode in which it is listed or follow its stated mode requirement. Available quests and restrictions can change, so check the current in-game listing.

Why some quests work in one mode but not another
Fortnite has both mode-restricted quests and goals Epic explicitly allows across experiences. The quest’s own listing and rules—not the fact that you are playing Team Rumble—determine which case applies.
| Quest type | What to expect | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Mode-restricted | Progress is limited to the named modes; other modes do not count. | Epic says quests in the named Escapists pack require Battle Royale or Zero Build and cannot progress in other modes. See Epic’s Escapists pack guidance. |
| Cross-experience goal | Progress can be earned in any Fortnite experience when Epic states that rule for the goal. | Epic says Global Daily Bonus Goals for most V-Bucks Quest Packs can be completed in any Fortnite experience. See Epic’s V-Bucks Quest Pack guidance. |
Shared XP does not mean every quest is shared
XP and quest completion are different things. Epic describes XP earned in Fortnite experiences as advancing active passes, and its Battle Pass information covers XP from Battle Royale, user-made Creative maps, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival. That explains pass progression; it does not make every individual quest available or completable in those experiences. See Epic’s Battle Pass overview and how to earn XP in Fortnite.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

What Team Rumble’s format tells you—and what it does not
Epic describes Team Rumble by Epic as a two-team elimination mode with respawning enabled throughout the match. That format may be convenient for some elimination or repeat-attempt objectives, but it does not establish that a particular quest will count there. Confirm mode eligibility and progress in the quest itself.

It is not listed: Recheck the selected mode and look for the quest in its Quests tab. If it remains absent, use a mode where it appears.

It is listed, but progress stays unchanged: Confirm that you are completing the exact objective and any named mode requirement. Then check the counter again after another attempt.
-
The quest names specific modes: Treat that requirement as controlling. For example, Epic’s Escapists pack guidance specifies Battle Royale or Zero Build, not other modes.
