Check whether your device supports Peacock
Peacock’s Help Center lists supported smart TVs, streaming devices, phones and tablets, game consoles, selected cable-provider boxes, and web browsers. The requirements can depend on the exact model as well as the device family. The following requirements are listed on Peacock’s support page, accessed October 4, 2026; verify the page for updates before troubleshooting or buying hardware.

Peacock’s listing distinguishes Fire TV streaming devices from Fire tablets: Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices with Fire OS 6 or above are generally listed, but Peacock specifically says the Fire Max 11 Tablet is not currently supported. A device name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
Install Peacock and sign in on a smart TV
- Check your TV’s model and software against Peacock’s supported-device list.
- From the TV home screen, look through installed apps for Peacock.
- If it is not installed, open the TV’s app store and search for Peacock.
- Select the Peacock app and install it.
- Open Peacock and sign in. If you need an account, select Pick a Plan and follow the on-screen signup steps.
These are Peacock’s general smart-TV setup steps; app-store labels and screen layouts can vary by TV brand and software version. See Peacock’s smart-TV instructions if the menus differ.

Install Peacock on Fire TV
On a compatible Fire TV device, use the Fire TV home screen rather than the television’s built-in app store:
- Open Find or the Appstore from the Fire TV home screen.
- Search for Peacock and select the app.
- Choose Get or the download option, then open the app when installation finishes.
- Sign in, or select Pick a Plan to start account setup.
Confirm the device meets Peacock’s current Fire OS requirement before troubleshooting an installation problem. For Peacock’s device-specific directions, see its Fire TV setup page.

Watch on a phone or tablet
Install the Peacock app from your device’s app store, then open it and sign in. Peacock lists Android 7.0 or above and iOS 16 or above for mobile and tablet devices. You can also begin account creation at PeacockTV.com; Peacock’s getting-started guide describes both the app and website as starting points.
Cast Peacock from your phone to Chromecast
- Connect your phone and Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Peacock on your phone, choose a title, and press Play.
- Tap the Chromecast icon and select the receiving device.
If the phone does not find the Chromecast, Peacock advises checking that Google Home is installed and that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. See Peacock’s Chromecast instructions.

Sign in to the TV with an activation code
If Peacock displays an activation code, use a second device to complete sign-in:
- Open Peacock on the TV and choose Sign In to display the code.
- On a phone, tablet, or computer browser, go to Peacock’s activation page and sign in.
- Enter the code shown on the TV and follow the displayed steps.
Use eligible Xfinity access
Peacock says eligible Xfinity customers can link their Xfinity account through the Peacock app on an X1 or Flex device. Once linked, they can watch on any supported device. Eligibility depends on the customer’s Xfinity access; this option should not be assumed to come with every Xfinity account or package. See Peacock’s account-linking instructions.

If Peacock is not available on your TV
If the TV is unsupported, an external streaming device may provide another way to watch, provided the exact model meets Peacock’s current requirements. Peacock lists supported options including Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Google TV, and Android TV. Compare candidates in this order:
- Confirm compatibility first. Check the exact model and its minimum operating-system version on Peacock’s device list.
- Check update status. A device that cannot run the required software may not support the app even if its product family is listed.
- Consider the devices you already use. Your phone and home setup may make one ecosystem more convenient, but convenience does not override Peacock’s model requirements.
- Choose the setup style you prefer. You can use a native TV app, an app on a streaming device, or phone casting where supported.
Peacock’s compatibility list establishes support by family and, in some cases, model or OS version; it does not guarantee that every device sold under a brand name is compatible.

Know what the plans and downloads affect
Peacock’s service page describes Premium and Premium Plus. It describes Premium Plus as having no ads with limited exclusions and adds downloads for select titles; some programming, including channels, sports and events, and some shows and movies, may still contain ads. The page’s displayed prices are not included here because they may change and were not established as current.
Downloads are a mobile or tablet feature for select content available to Premium Plus subscribers on supported devices. They do not install Peacock on a television or turn an unsupported TV into a supported one. Check Peacock’s plans page for current plan details.
