The claim that Twist Bioscience’s consensus price target rose 12.94% to €108.63 is not confirmed by the available sources. Twist’s own analyst-coverage page says its consensus data was last updated November 20, 2025; a separate 2026 report of a Guggenheim target change is denominated in US dollars and does not verify that euro-denominated consensus figure.

Is the €108.63 consensus target verified?

No. The available sources do not establish that Twist Bioscience’s consensus target was €108.63, that it increased by 12.94%, or when such a change may have occurred. They also do not identify the prior figure behind the claimed percentage, the contributing analyst count, or whether the number represents a mean or another statistic.

Twist’s analyst-coverage page says the company’s consensus data was last updated November 20, 2025. That date does not substantiate a later revision. Separately, Benzinga’s analyst-target page reports a Guggenheim individual target change from $107 to $212 in US dollars on October 1, 2026. This is a single analyst’s action, not confirmation of the stated euro consensus figure.

Without a source documenting the figure and its calculation, €108.63 should not be treated as a verified consensus target or as Twist’s share price.

What Twist means by analyst consensus

Twist describes the figures in its analyst-consensus tables as a simple arithmetic average of the most recent forecasts provided to the company. The figures are not weighted by recency or analyst, and Twist says submissions have not been adjusted to exclude any. The company’s investor-relations disclosure states: “The figures contained in the analyst consensus tables are a simple arithmetic average of the most recent forecasts that have been provided to Twist.”

That definition matters: a change in a company-reported average is different from a change in one analyst’s target. To evaluate a particular consensus revision, readers need its date, the number and identity of contributing forecasts, the prior and new values, the currency, and the target horizon. Those details are not established for the €108.63 claim.

Analyst estimates are not company guidance

Twist says its consensus figures reflect analysts’ opinions and forecasts, not the company’s own view, and that it neither verifies nor endorses those estimates. The company states: “It does not represent Twist’s own views on its performance nor does Twist endorse or concur with any of such analysts’ opinions, estimates, forecasts or recommendations.” It also cautions that forward-looking estimates carry risks and uncertainty and says it does not assume responsibility for updating or supplementing the information.

The analyst-coverage page lists firms following Twist, including Baird, Barclays, Canaccord Genuity, Cowen, Evercore ISI, Guggenheim Partners, Leerink Partners, Piper Sandler, Stephens, and William Blair. A firm’s appearance on that list does not establish that it contributed a forecast to a specific consensus calculation.

What Twist Bioscience does

Twist is a synthetic-biology company that says its platform writes DNA on silicon chips. Its product and service areas include synthetic genes, next-generation sequencing sample-preparation tools, antibody libraries, oligo pools, synthetic controls, and antibody-discovery services. The company’s product information and FY2025 Form 10-K describe applications across life-science research, drug discovery, disease detection, gene editing, academic research, industrial chemicals, and agriculture.

In that filing, Twist describes a platform capable of writing more than 1,000,000 oligonucleotides up to 500 bases on each silicon chip. It also estimates a 99.8% reduction in chemicals used per gene compared with plate-based synthesis. These are company-reported descriptions and estimates, not independent performance test results.

How to assess a future target revision

  • Confirm what the number represents: distinguish the consensus average from a single analyst’s target and check whether the source reports a mean or median.
  • Check the underlying forecasts: look for the contributor count, forecast dates, and target horizon; coverage alone does not identify contributors.
  • Keep currencies separate: verify whether the target is quoted in euros or dollars and whether an explicit conversion and date are provided.
  • Separate estimates from outcomes: an analyst target is a forecast, not company guidance or a guarantee of future share performance.
