Where VisionQuest falls in the story
Marvel describes VisionQuest as the concluding installment of a television trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. The announced sequence is:

This is the creative and franchise sequence, not confirmation that each series begins immediately after the previous one in the MCU calendar. Marvel’s official press kit and NYCC 2025 recap establish the trilogy order without specifying an exact elapsed interval.
Why White Vision’s story continues after WandaVision
At the end of WandaVision, White Vision receives the original Vision’s memories. That does not immediately settle who he is: Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, described the distinction at the NYCC 2025 panel reported by Marvel: “So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is.”

VisionQuest picks up that identity question. Its official synopsis says Vision has been rebooted and hiding from people who would weaponize him. He consults AI personas embedded in his programming while searching for meaning. The premise makes the memory handoff relevant, but does not mean White Vision simply resumes the original Vision’s life or feelings.
Is VisionQuest set in 2028?
Marvel’s official press kit and NYCC recap do not state an in-universe year. GamesRadar has reported 2028, but that is secondary reporting, not a date confirmed in the official materials cited here. The firm timeline answer is that VisionQuest follows WandaVision in White Vision’s story; the precise calendar placement remains unspecified by those primary sources.

What Marvel has confirmed about the premise
The official synopsis says a bounty sends Vision on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy. It raises the possibility that Thomas is Vision’s son reincarnate, but leaves that relationship unresolved. The synopsis also names the AI personas Vision consults: Friday, Edith, Jarvis, and Ultron. Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum said at NYCC 2025, “The less we say, the better.”
