If your printer is missing from a Samsung Galaxy phone’s print list, first confirm the PDF app supports printing and the right print service is enabled. Then check that the printer is ready and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the phone. In the print window, tap All printers to scan again; if it still does not appear, check service compatibility, clear Print Spooler data, or add the printer by IP address.
Print the PDF and check whether the app supports it

Open the PDF in an app that offers Android printing.

Open the app’s menu or Share menu and choose Print. The command’s location and wording vary by app.

If you do not see a Print option, try another PDF viewer that supports printing. Samsung notes that not all apps support printing their content: Samsung’s Galaxy printing guide.

When the print window opens, choose Select printer. If your printer is not listed, tap All printers to scan again.
Make sure the Galaxy print service is enabled

Open Settings and search for Printing.

Open the printing settings and switch on the service you intend to use.

If needed, choose Download plugin and install the printer manufacturer’s service when your printer requires it.

Settings labels and locations can vary by Galaxy model and software version. The service must be compatible with the printer; for example, Samsung’s Print Service Plugin requires a Mopria-certified printer. See the Samsung Print Service Plugin FAQ for its compatibility requirements.
Check the printer, Wi-Fi, and readiness

Confirm the printer is powered on, ready, and configured for wireless printing.

Connect the Galaxy phone and printer to the same Wi-Fi network. A guest network or separate Wi-Fi network can prevent discovery.

Check the printer display for errors, and confirm there is paper and enough ink or toner.

Verify that the printer is properly configured for the active print service. Mopria recommends restarting the printer and router and installing current printer firmware if discovery problems continue: Mopria’s Android printing troubleshooting guidance.

Use fallback steps if the printer still does not appear
Verify service compatibility
Check that the printer supports the service enabled on the phone. If using Samsung Print Service Plugin, its FAQ specifies Mopria certification. A printer can be available to one service but not another.

Clear Print Spooler data
Search Settings for Print Spooler, open its app details, and clear its data. The exact menu path varies with Android version; use the current labels on your phone.
Add the printer by IP address
If you know the printer’s IP address, use the print service’s manual-add option to enter it. Samsung’s Galaxy guide and the plugin FAQ document adding a printer this way. The printer and phone still need a connection that lets them communicate.
Try Wi-Fi Direct or a wired connection only when supported
Wi-Fi Direct
If both the Galaxy phone and printer support Wi-Fi Direct, try connecting directly through that feature instead of relying on a shared router network. Mopria describes Wi-Fi Direct as an option for supported devices. Samsung’s plugin FAQ also recognizes Wi-Fi Direct: Mopria’s Android printing overview.

USB with an OTG adapter
Samsung’s general Galaxy instructions describe connecting a USB printer using an OTG adapter and a suitable USB cable. However, Samsung Print Service Plugin does not support USB printing. Before trying a cable, confirm that your Galaxy phone’s port, the adapter, the printer cable, and the print service you plan to use all support that wired route. A USB connection will not resolve wireless discovery through a service that does not support USB.
