Apple’s published visionOS tracking capabilities do not describe automatic detection and tracking of multiple people playing pickleball on a real court. The pickleball example Apple does show is about tracking a game controller, not opponents. For real-match insights, a separate video-analysis app such as PB Vision is a more relevant option, though its listing does not include Apple Vision Pro as a supported platform.
What Apple Vision Pro tracks—and what that means for players
Apple’s ARKit in visionOS overview describes tracking and sensing capabilities such as the headset’s position in the world, hands, known images, objects, rooms, and spatial accessories. It also describes access to camera frames. Developers use these capabilities through individual data providers; the overview does not document a ready-made feature that identifies and follows several pickleball players during a live match.
That distinction matters: tracking the headset, a controller, or a known object is not the same as recognizing multiple people and maintaining their identities and positions as they move around a court. The published overview does not establish that Vision Pro can do the latter reliably. It also does not prove that a developer could never build a custom system using available sensors or video; it simply does not document that capability as a built-in pickleball feature.
Why Apple’s pickleball example is easy to misread
In an Apple developer presentation about interactive media in visionOS 26, Apple demonstrates tracking a PlayStation VR2 Sense controller in six degrees of freedom. The pickleball example attaches a virtual paddle to that tracked controller. Apple says: “So even in a fast paced interaction, such as swinging your paddle to play pickleball, the system can track the controller very precisely.”

The tracked object in that example is the controller being used as game input. It is not a group of human players moving on a physical court, and the presentation does not report player-tracking accuracy or a maximum number of players.
Pickle Pro is a game, not real-match analysis
Apple’s App Store editorial description of Pickle Pro presents it as a spatial pickleball game. Players can compete against adaptive AI opponents and use SharePlay to play one-on-one remotely or together in the same room. That describes simulated gameplay, not recording or analyzing a real pickleball match.

For real-match insights, use recorded-video analysis
PB Vision’s App Store listing describes analyzing complete recorded pickleball games to produce shot-by-shot statistics, skill ratings, highlights, and coaching cues. It says the analysis can cover shot types and attributes such as movement, positioning, court coverage, kitchen-line transitions, partner dynamics, and performance from the left or right side.
The listing identifies iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch availability; it does not list Apple Vision Pro. This is a recorded-video workflow rather than documented live tracking through Vision Pro: capture the match with a supported device, then submit the footage to a service that accepts it. Check the app’s current video requirements and supported-device information before relying on a particular recording setup.

Recording the footage
A stable phone tripod or court-side mount may make it easier to record a full match for later analysis. That is a practical recording suggestion, not a Vision Pro tracking accessory or a guarantee that any camera position will work with the app. Before choosing a mount or relying on the results, consider camera angle, distance, lighting, framing, and the app’s current requirements. A recording setup does not make Vision Pro track players.

The cited Apple materials do not give a player-tracking accuracy figure, a supported number of players, or evidence that Vision Pro automatically tracks singles or doubles players in a live match. The app listings describe their respective game and analysis features, but do not establish that PB Vision runs on Vision Pro or that a particular recording setup will produce usable analysis.
