CloudConvert supports full-page website screenshots, but its documentation does not confirm that it scrolls an infinite-scroll page to load additional content before capture. A full-height screenshot and a screenshot that triggers more content by scrolling are different things. If the content you need appears only after scrolling, check the output from the exact page rather than assuming it will be included.

What CloudConvert documents

CloudConvert describes its Website Screenshot API as a headless-Chrome service that can create full-page PNG or JPG screenshots. Its product page says full-height screenshots are the default, and it offers a custom CSS-selector wait so a capture can wait for a specified element to appear. CloudConvert Website Screenshot API

The API documentation describes the capture-website operation, which requires a URL and output format and has format-specific parameters, including PDF examples. CloudConvert Capture Website operation

Why full-page capture may not include infinite-scroll content

A full-page capture can cover the page’s current document height. Infinite-scroll pages commonly request more content only after a visitor scrolls near the bottom. Capturing the current height does not, by itself, establish that the page was scrolled repeatedly to trigger those requests.

CloudConvert’s reviewed product and API pages do not state whether its screenshot process scrolls the page, waits for scroll-triggered content, or uses a defined stopping point. That is an undocumented behavior, not evidence that CloudConvert either does or does not load such content. A selector wait can help wait for a known element, but CloudConvert does not describe it as a way to trigger scrolling or infinite-scroll requests. How to check whether the capture is complete

  1. Run a capture of the specific page using the output format you need.
  2. Inspect the resulting image or PDF, especially the lower portion, for content that should appear after scrolling.
  3. If expected content is missing, treat the capture as incomplete for that page. Do not assume a full-height setting caused further content to load.
  4. If completeness matters, use a browser-automation workflow that explicitly scrolls through the page and waits for new content between scrolls, then capture the result. The CloudConvert documentation reviewed here does not confirm that this scrolling workflow is built in.

What to consider when choosing a capture approach

  • Full document height: Does the tool capture the page’s current full height?
  • Active scrolling: Does it explicitly scroll and trigger lazy or infinite loading?
  • Readiness controls: Can it wait for a selector or another condition before capture?
  • Output: Does it produce the image or PDF format you need?

CloudConvert documents full-page PNG/JPG capture and a selector wait; the reviewed documentation does not establish active scrolling for infinite-scroll content. Its API is documented as API v2, but the cited pages do not identify a screenshot engine version or specify this behavior by region. For general API setup, see CloudConvert API documentation.

ScreenshotNeo is an alternative website screenshot API with a one-request capture. It documents full-page capture with lazy images loaded, but no supplied product fact says it repeatedly scrolls an infinite-scroll page to request more content; verify your specific URL if that behavior is essential.

Cookie banners are accepted and removed before capture, along with known newsletter popups and chat widgets; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers indicate the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, and 1,000 screenshots per month are free without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
