Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To stream Marathi sleep sounds on YouTube with OBS, first confirm your channel can go live and that you have the rights to every recording, composition, and visual. Then add the audio and a calm visual to an OBS scene, connect OBS to YouTube Live Control Room, test the signal, and start the broadcast. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches, so rights clearance is a prerequisite—not something to sort out after going live.
1. Clear the rights to the audio and visual
Make an inventory of each audio recording, the composition embodied in it, and every image or video used on screen. Confirm that your permissions cover YouTube live transmission and, if you plan to keep a replay, that replay or archive as well. Recording rights and composition rights can be separate, so check both.
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A detected match can lead to a warning, a replacement placeholder, an interruption, or termination of the stream. Even a license may not prevent interruption: the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Ask the owner or licensor whether allowlisting is needed before you broadcast. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance explains these possible outcomes.
Do not assume that material described as “royalty-free,” found online, or accompanied by an attribution automatically clears the use. Confirm the actual permissions for your channel and intended broadcast. The same applies to self-recorded sounds: use only material for which you hold the necessary rights.

2. Confirm your channel can stream
Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and check that your channel can create an encoder stream. YouTube’s current guidance requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Eligibility and restrictions can change, so verify access in Studio before preparing the event rather than relying on an older tutorial. See YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance.
3. Build a simple OBS scene
Add your sound and visual
In OBS, select or create a scene, then add the Marathi sleep audio as a source and add a calm still image or loop as the visual. OBS starts with a blank scene; its Quick Start Guide walks through adding sources and setting audio devices. The right audio source depends on how you play the sound into OBS, so choose the relevant file/media source or device input for your setup rather than assuming every system uses a microphone or desktop audio.

Check the audio signal
Play the sound and watch the Audio Mixer meters. They should move when audio reaches the selected source. If they remain still or show the wrong input, open Settings → Audio and select the appropriate device. Listen to the preview as well: moving meters confirm signal, but not that the chosen sound is the one you intend to broadcast.
Set initial stream configuration
If you need help tuning initial settings for your computer and network, run OBS’s Auto-Configuration Wizard from Tools. The official material cited here does not establish a bitrate, resolution, or keyframe preset for this specific sleep-sound use, so do not treat an arbitrary tutorial setting as a requirement. Use the current OBS and YouTube interfaces and verify the stream in a test.

4. Connect OBS to YouTube and test
- Create the encoder stream in YouTube Studio. Use the current Live Control Room workflow. YouTube supports streaming with an encoder; follow the stream details shown in your Studio session.
- Connect OBS. Connect through the YouTube account/service option if it is available in your current OBS setup, or enter the stream details supplied by YouTube. Keep the stream key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel.
- Run a short test before publishing. Start the encoder output and check the OBS preview and YouTube control room. Confirm that the intended audio is audible, the visual appears, and the stream reaches YouTube. OBS strongly encourages testing for a few minutes before a first stream rather than jumping straight into it; see its Quick Start Guide.
5. Go live and monitor the broadcast
When the test is satisfactory, start the encoder output and complete YouTube Studio’s go-live action if the current workflow prompts you to do so. Watch the control room for stream health and copyright notices. If a third-party match appears, follow the notice: resolve the rights issue or remove the matched content. Leaving a detected match in place can interrupt or terminate the stream.
What to check when something goes wrong
| Symptom | Likely check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| OBS Audio Mixer meters do not move | The selected input or device may not be the one carrying your audio. | Open Settings → Audio, select the relevant device, and check that the chosen source is receiving the sound. |
| Audio meters move, but the expected sound is not audible | A signal is reaching OBS, but it may be the wrong source or playback. | Listen to the preview and verify the audio source and the sound being played before going live. |
| The stream does not appear in YouTube’s control room | The encoder connection or stream details may not match the current Studio session. | Check the current Live Control Room stream details and OBS connection, then run another short test before publishing. |
| YouTube warns about third-party content or interrupts the stream | The content may match a third-party recording or composition; a license may not include Content ID allowlisting. | Follow the notice, confirm the relevant rights, ask the rights owner about allowlisting, or remove the matched material. |
Can OBS keep the stream running continuously?
OBS sends the stream from the computer running it, so continuity depends on that host and its connection. The official YouTube and OBS guidance cited above does not promise continuous uptime or set a required computer, power-backup, or upload-plan specification for this use. Do not assume a local OBS setup will remain online unattended; plan to monitor it and account for interruptions in your own equipment and connection.
