The best webinar platform depends on whether you want a polished creator-led broadcast that reaches viewers on YouTube, or a managed business event built around registration, interaction, and follow-up. For creator broadcasts, StreamYard On-Air is a strong fit; for structured business webinars, Zoom Webinars is a strong fit. Livestorm is worth considering when browser-based event workflows and CRM connections matter. The vendor information available does not establish a universal winner, and these platforms have not been independently tested here.

Choose by the job your webinar needs to do

Start with the audience experience, not a feature checklist. Decide whether attendees should watch in a public YouTube stream, join a branded webinar room, or have both options. Then check how each service handles registration, interaction, recording access, reporting, and integrations.

  • Creator-led broadcast: Prioritize guest interviews, screen or slide sharing, branded production, and access to YouTube or other social destinations.
  • Business webinar: Prioritize attendee registration, polls and Q&A, reporting, CRM or marketing connections, and the capacity you need.
  • Hybrid workflow: Confirm that the platform supports your chosen webinar room and YouTube destination together, and whether that requires an add-on, specific plan, or separate license.

Vendor pages describe different capabilities and qualifications; they do not provide a neutral, like-for-like comparison of reliability, usability, or total cost.

Best webinar platforms for YouTube creators and businesses

StreamYard On-Air: best fit for creator-led broadcasts

StreamYard describes On-Air as combining a browser-based production studio with webinar registration, branded pages, embedded viewing, on-demand playback, and multistreaming that includes YouTube. Its studio supports guest interviews and screen or slide sharing. The help center says a webinar can use the live studio or a pre-recorded source. StreamYard says “No downloads required” on its On-Air product page; that is the vendor’s statement, not an independent assessment. StreamYard On-Air

Compare the capabilities that change the decision

Platform YouTube route Registration and viewing Interaction and follow-up Important qualification
StreamYard On-Air Multistreaming includes YouTube, according to StreamYard. Registration, branded pages, embedded viewing, and on-demand access. Production studio with guests and screen or slide sharing. On-Air starts with Advanced; viewer limits vary by plan. Verify current limits and packaging with StreamYard.
Zoom Webinars YouTube livestreaming is supported when account, license, and livestreaming configuration requirements are met. Webinar registration and recording capabilities are listed on the product page. Chat, reactions, polls, Q&A, reports; Webinars Plus adds further production and analytics options. Confirm account eligibility, a Zoom Webinars license, enabled livestreaming, and current event capacity.
Livestorm Restreaming to YouTube and other services is described as an add-on. Browser-based event workflows; confirm plan limits and pricing units. CRM integrations are listed; some are Enterprise-only. Check add-on cost and whether your specific integrations are included.

Check total cost and capacity before you choose

Prices and attendee limits can change, and a listed starting price is not necessarily the cost for your event setup. Compare the same requirements across vendors: number of hosts, viewer or attendee cap, YouTube distribution, registration, recording access, integrations, and billing term. Keep pricing units distinct: a per-user, per-organizer, per-attendee, or per-event price is not directly interchangeable.

Zoom’s 2025 comparison article reported the following starting-price and capacity examples. These are dated figures reported by Zoom, not validated current quotes or a synchronized price survey; check the vendor’s current pricing page before relying on them.

Service named in Zoom’s 2025 comparison Zoom-reported example
Zoom Webinars Starting from $690/year; up to 500 attendees.
Zoom Webinars Plus Starting from $114.99/month; up to 500 attendees.
GoTo Webinar Starting from $49/organizer/month billed annually; up to 250 participants.
Webex Webinars Starting from $68.75/user/month; up to 1,000 attendees.
Demio Starting from $63/month for one host; up to 50 attendees.
Livestorm Starting from $99/month; up to 100 attendees.
Crowdcast Starting from $49/month for one host; up to 100 attendees.
WebinarJam Starting from $49/month; up to 100 attendees.
eWebinar Starting from $99/month for one active webinar; up to 3,000 attendees/month.

Zoom’s comparison article also names BigMarker and ON24, but the figures above do not include a comparable price-and-capacity example for either. Zoom says its rankings assessed “feature sets, pricing, and user feedback”; treat that as Zoom’s stated method, not a neutral industry standard. Zoom’s webinar platform comparison (2025)

A practical selection checklist

  1. Choose the destination. Decide whether the event is a public YouTube broadcast, a private or branded webinar room, or both. Confirm the route is native to the service or requires an add-on, license, or configuration.
  2. Set your capacity and host needs. Estimate the audience and number of presenters, then verify plan-specific limits rather than relying on a platform’s general product description.
  3. Map the attendee journey. Check registration fields, branding, embedding, and whether attendees can watch on demand afterward.
  4. List interaction requirements. Decide whether you need chat, reactions, moderated Q&A, or polls, and establish who will manage them during the event.
  5. Confirm follow-up workflow. Verify the specific CRM or marketing integration, reporting, and recording access on the plan you intend to buy.
  6. Price the required configuration. Include licenses, host seats, attendee limits, annual billing, and add-ons such as restreaming. Recheck the vendor checkout before purchase.

Other options to investigate

Zoom’s 2025 comparison article also discusses GoTo Webinar, Webex Webinars, Demio, BigMarker, Crowdcast, ON24, WebinarJam, and eWebinar. It can serve as a discovery list, but its rankings and dated examples are Zoom’s own, not an independent evaluation. For any additional platform, apply the same checks: YouTube destination, capacity, registration, interaction, follow-up integrations, and full cost for the plan you need.
