If you no longer have the registered phone number, request a number change from the verification screen; Samsung says that process can take two weeks. Contact Samsung Support if the available recovery methods fail.
I can’t sign in to my Samsung account
First check that you’re entering the email address or account ID and password registered to the Samsung account. Samsung’s US troubleshooting guide recommends using Find ID if you’ve forgotten the account ID, or choosing Reset password and following the verification prompts if you’ve forgotten the password.
If Samsung reports that the entered information does not match, check your internet connection as well as the spelling of the account details. Samsung notes that the sign-in screens and settings can vary by device, software version, and wireless provider.
I cannot find the account verification email
Check your spam folder for Samsung’s verification or password-reset message. If the verification email is missing, Samsung says you can sign in to the account site to trigger another one. The email-code flow is not complete just because you entered the code: Samsung’s instructions also require confirmation on a Galaxy device already signed in to that account.

When using a one-time email code
Samsung says this email verification option is available to eligible users. Its one-time code expires after five minutes, so request a fresh code if the one you received has expired. After entering it, complete the confirmation on an already-signed-in Galaxy device as prompted. Samsung’s sign-in troubleshooting steps describe this flow.
I’ve enabled two-step verification but did not receive a verification code
The alternatives depend on what you set up for the account and what the sign-in screen offers. Samsung lists these possible methods:

- A notification or code on a Galaxy device already signed in to the account.
- A text message to the registered number.
- An authenticator app.
- A backup code.
Try an available method you still control rather than repeatedly requesting a text. If you can sign in on another registered device, Samsung says you can use it to change the verification phone number. Its two-step verification guidance covers the available options.
If Samsung verification texts do not arrive
- Check that Wi-Fi or mobile data is working reliably.
- Make sure the phone number or sender is not blocked on the device.
- If the code still does not arrive, check that the device operating system and Samsung account are up to date.
- Contact Samsung Support if none of these checks resolves the issue.

I no longer have access to my verification phone number
Use Samsung’s number-change request from the two-step verification screen. Samsung says the process can take two weeks. Do not submit another request while the first one is pending: doing so resets the waiting period. If you entered the full number incorrectly, Samsung says the flow may let you try again after 30 minutes.
Samsung’s instructions for changing a two-step verification number describe this recovery route. If you can still sign in on another registered device, use that route to change the number instead of waiting for the request process.

It’s been two weeks since I changed my phone number, and I haven’t received the completion notice
Return to Samsung’s number-change flow and follow the status or next-step instructions it displays. If the request remains unresolved, or you cannot proceed, contact Samsung Support. Avoid submitting a duplicate request while the earlier one is still pending because that restarts the two-week period.

If you suspect someone else is trying to sign in
Samsung says you can reject an unexpected sign-in prompt, then review and remove trusted devices in the account’s security settings. Do not approve a request you did not initiate. Follow Samsung’s account security and two-step verification guidance to review those settings.
