Google Play Fest is set to begin October 13, 2026, with a sweepstakes that lets you redeem Google Play Points for chances to win prizes. Google says prizes will include exclusive swag, devices and tickets to major sporting events, but the official US event page does not name specific products or events. Full entry details and sweepstakes terms are due October 13.
When does Play Fest start?

How do Google Play Points work in the Play Fest sweepstakes?
Google says you can redeem Play Points for sweepstakes chances, and that “The more Play Points you redeem, the more chances you’ll get to win.” More entries are not a guarantee of winning. Google also says “No purchase necessary,” and notes that the promotion is void where prohibited.
The full sweepstakes terms and entry details are scheduled to become available October 13. Until then, Google has not specified the points needed per entry, entry limits, odds, or eligibility by country on the reviewed official US page. Check the terms before redeeming points so you understand the rules that apply to your location.

The official page does not identify specific device models, merchandise items, sporting events, prize quantities beyond “thousands,” or shipping arrangements. Treat the categories as an announcement, not a promise of a particular item or prize.

Other ways to take part
Compete in a game league
Google names leagues for Angry Birds 2, Free Fire and 8 Ball Pool. Players can compete on leaderboards for a chance to win prizes. The announcement does not provide leaderboard rules, scoring details or prize breakdowns; check the event listing and applicable terms when participation opens.
Complete quests
Google also describes quests: complete specified steps to earn rewards. The event page does not list the quests or their rewards in advance.

Check discounts and points boosts
From October 13 to 19, Google says selected apps, games, books and devices will be discounted, with daily points boosts for purchases during that period. The offers are subject to promotional terms and availability, so check the Play Store listing for the specific item and its conditions before buying.
Android Authority reported on October 1, 2026, that Google had also mentioned limited-edition tech products, Google merchandise, select digital gift-card offers and up to 15x points on book purchases from October 16–18. Those details are secondary reporting, not stated in the reviewed official event-page text; check the in-app offer and terms to see whether they apply to you. Android Authority’s report covers those additional details.

Which participation route makes sense?
- Redeem points: Consider this if you want sweepstakes entries, but wait for the October 13 terms to see the entry cost, limits and eligibility.
- Play a league: Choose this if you already play one of the three named games and want to compete on its leaderboard.
- Complete quests: Look for available tasks and rewards in the event listing once they appear.
- Use a discount: Check whether a selected offer is useful to you; the announcement does not establish that every app, game, book or device will be discounted.
