The 128GB Google Pixel 10a now costs $599 in the US, up $100 from its $499 launch price. The 256GB model is $699. That change makes the discounted Pixel 9a a more compelling value, because it shares much of the 10a’s core hardware and support promise.
What changed in Pixel 10a pricing?
Google announced the Pixel 10a on February 18, 2026, with a $499 starting price and availability from March 5. Effective October 2, 2026, its US prices are $599 for 128GB and $699 for 256GB, according to 9to5Google. The report says the updated prices appeared at Google Store, Amazon, and Best Buy; prices and stock can vary by seller and change over time.
The same report lists Google Store prices of C$849 in Canada, £599 in the UK, and €649 in Europe. Those are regional examples, not a guarantee of current local pricing or availability.
Why did Google raise the price?
Google had not officially commented on the increase in the October 2, 2026 report. Rising memory and component costs are a reported market explanation, not a confirmed reason from Google. At launch, Google Product Manager Laura Kastilani described the phone as offering “core Pixel experiences … for just $499.” The new price changes that value equation without changing the original launch claim.

Pixel 10a versus Pixel 9a: what do you get for the extra cost?
The Pixel 9a launched at $499 in 2025. Both phones use Tensor G4, have 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide cameras, offer more than 30 hours of rated battery life, carry IP68 protection, and are promised seven years of updates. Google’s comparison highlights the 10a’s brighter display, faster charging, Satellite SOS, and Camera Coach, but the central processing and camera hardware are similar.

Is the Pixel 10a still worth $599?
It can make sense if you specifically want the 10a’s brighter screen, faster charging, Satellite SOS, or Camera Coach, and you plan to keep it long enough to use its update support. But the $100 increase is difficult to justify on core performance or camera hardware alone: Google lists the same Tensor generation and camera resolutions on the 9a, along with matching battery-life ratings, durability, and support duration.
At $599, compare the 10a’s actual checkout price with the Pixel 9a’s before buying. A roughly $399 retailer price for the 9a was observed in one 2026 report, but it is not a stable or guaranteed offer. If the older model is substantially cheaper and its display and charging differences do not matter to you, it is the stronger value.

Where can you find the cheapest Pixel?
The evidence here does not establish a single cheapest Pixel across all stores at every moment. For the specific choice between these two models, check Google Store, Amazon, and Best Buy for the Pixel 10a, then compare current Pixel 9a offers from retailers. Confirm storage, unlocked status, seller, shipping, and any trade-in or activation conditions before treating a displayed price as comparable. Availability and promotions can change quickly.
