TEAMGROUP’s T-FORCE GA PRO is a PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 M.2 SSD rated for sequential speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s read and 8,500 MB/s write. The manufacturer lists it in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities, all with DRAM cache and a five-year limited warranty. Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified benchmark results.
What is the T-FORCE GA PRO?
TEAMGROUP announced the GA PRO on 22 November 2024 as a Gen5 x4 NVMe 2.0 drive for gamers and power users. Its M.2 2280 form factor connects through a compatible PCIe 5.0 slot. TEAMGROUP identifies an InnoGrit IG5666 multi-core controller and DRAM cache, but its published material does not identify the NAND type.
The manufacturer also lists 4K LDPC error correction, a controller security-isolation mechanism, S.M.A.R.T. drive-health monitoring software and a graphene heat spreader. TEAMGROUP says the controller can adjust performance and power modes in response to internal temperature sensing.
GA PRO speed, capacity and endurance
TEAMGROUP publishes the same maximum sequential read and write ratings for all four capacities. The TBW rating rises with capacity; TBW is the manufacturer’s rated total amount of data written over the drive’s service life, not a measure of speed.

These are TEAMGROUP’s manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent review. The specification sheet also lists a 1,600,000-hour MTBF and a weight of 7g. With the graphene heat spreader attached, dimensions are 80.0 × 22.0 × 3.9 mm.
Does the GA PRO need a heatsink?
TEAMGROUP warns that high-speed Gen5 NVMe operation can generate substantial heat and says a heatsink or active cooler is essential to prevent thermal throttling. The GA PRO includes a graphene heat spreader, but that does not necessarily replace the motherboard’s M.2 heatsink or a separate cooling solution. Check your system’s M.2 cooling arrangement and the drive’s fit before installation.

Will it work with your motherboard or laptop?
Physical fit and interface support are separate checks. The GA PRO is an M.2 drive using PCIe 5.0 x4; a system needs a compatible M.2 slot and platform support to run it at its intended interface. A drive may work in a compatible slot with a lower supported PCIe generation, but it would not reach its advertised Gen5 speeds.
- Check the motherboard or laptop specifications for M.2 NVMe support, slot size and supported PCIe generation.
- Confirm that the CPU, motherboard chipset, BIOS and firmware support the intended PCIe 5.0 connection. TEAMGROUP cautions that some older Intel and AMD chipsets may not support the newer interface.
- Check the available M.2 heatsink or cooler and whether the graphene spreader and surrounding components will fit.
- TEAMGROUP recommends updating the motherboard or laptop BIOS before installation.
TEAMGROUP lists Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and Vista; macOS 10.4 or later; and Linux 2.6.33 or later as supported operating systems. These listed OS versions do not guarantee compatibility with every computer: the system still needs suitable M.2 and NVMe support.

Warranty and information not yet established
TEAMGROUP lists a five-year limited warranty, subject to the applicable TBW or warranty-period condition. Check the manufacturer’s warranty terms for the exact coverage that applies to your purchase and region.
The manufacturer specifications establish the claimed transfer rates, capacities and endurance ratings, but do not establish independent benchmark performance, current retail pricing or live stock availability. Compare independent reviews and current retailer listings if those details matter to your decision.
