A July 13, 2022 roundup from 9to5Toys reported expired deals ranging from $180 for the ANYCUBIC Mega-S to $1,040 for the ANYCUBIC Photon M3 Max. The highlighted deal was the ANYCUBIC Mega Pro 3D Printer and Laser Engraver at $259.99 shipped.
The figures below are historical prices reported by that article, not current Amazon prices, inventory, seller information, or independently verified price-history data.
What 3D printers were on sale for Amazon Prime Day 2022?
The 9to5Toys roundup published July 13, 2022 listed printers and maker equipment from ANYCUBIC, FlashForge, Monoprice, and Snapmaker. Its page marked the offers “expired.” Reported deal prices and reference prices were:

9to5Toys selected the ANYCUBIC Mega Pro as its top pick at $259.99 shipped. It combines an FDM filament printer with a 1.6W laser intended for engraving. The roundup specifically cautioned that the included laser was unlikely to be suitable for actual cutting, so buyers should not treat the combination machine as a laser cutter.
How the 2022 list differs by printing process
FDM and extrusion printers
FDM machines melt and deposit filament. The historical list’s FDM models were the Mega Pro, Kobra Max, Kobra, Monoprice Voxel, Mega-S, and Vyper, plus the FDM portion of Snapmaker. They are the relevant group for readers who want filament-based printing and, in the Mega Pro or Snapmaker’s case, additional maker functions.

SLA and resin printers
The Photon M3 Max, Photon Mono X, and Photon Mono 4K use SLA/resin printing. Resin systems require a different workflow from filament machines, including liquid resin handling and post-processing. The separately listed ANYCUBIC Wash and Cure Station was associated with that workflow; it was equipment, not a printer.
Multifunction equipment
Snapmaker’s historical offer combined an FDM printer, laser engraver, and CNC machine. Its $1,396 reported price reflected a broader set of functions than a single-process printer, but the deal list alone does not establish comparative performance, reliability, or value for any of those functions.

How to interpret the prices and choose among the historical models
- Start with the process. Choose FDM for filament-based projects or SLA/resin when resin printing is the intended workflow; they are not interchangeable categories.
- Check the physical scale you need. The roundup names the Kobra Max as FDM and the Photon M3 Max as SLA/resin, but it does not provide a consistent build-volume comparison for every model.
- Separate included features from core printing. Mega Pro included a 1.6W engraving laser, and Snapmaker bundled three machine functions. Those additions do not establish cutting capability or print-quality superiority.
- Budget for the complete setup. Resin printing can require washing and curing equipment; the listed Wash and Cure Station was a separate $111 historical deal. Filament, resin, ventilation, tools, and replacement parts are not included in the table’s printer prices.
- Treat the list as a catalog of deals, not a test ranking. The source did not provide a fair, same-condition comparison of reliability, print quality, ease of use, or long-term ownership.
When and where Prime Day 2022 ran
Amazon announced that its main 48-hour Prime Day event began July 12, 2022, at 3 a.m. EDT and ran through July 13. The announced markets were Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Poland, and Sweden. Amazon said India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt would receive later deal events.

It also reported more than 100,000 items purchased per minute worldwide and more than 60,000 per minute in the United States.
