1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe best cloud telephony provider in India depends on the workflow: MyOperator, TeleCMI, Sarv, Servetel, and Exotel are sensible starting points for a small team, while Ozonetel, Knowlarity, Airtel IQ, and Tata Tele Business Services fit larger or specialized deployments. Compare Indian numbers, IVR, integrations, compliance, support, and usage-based cost before choosing.
This 2026 shortlist treats “best” as a use-case decision rather than an objectively audited ranking. Cloud telephony can support virtual numbers, IVR, call routing, recording, analytics, CRM integrations, APIs, browser calling, mobile apps, SMS, and WhatsApp, but the available features, limits, and prices vary by provider and plan.
Key takeaways
- There is no universally best cloud telephony provider in India: MyOperator, TeleCMI, Sarv, Servetel, and Exotel are practical starting points for smaller teams, while Ozonetel, Knowlarity, Airtel IQ, and Tata Tele Business Services suit larger or more specialized deployments.
- Cloud telephony replaces much of an on-premises PBX with hosted software, virtual numbers, IVR, routing, APIs, analytics, and browser or mobile calling tools.
- The most important buying criteria are Indian-number availability, IVR and routing, recording, analytics, CRM/API integrations, concurrency, support, failover, compliance, and total cost at your expected usage.
- Indian commercial calling requires checks around customer preferences, consent, DLT processes, templates, caller identity, permitted outbound use cases, and recording or data-retention policies.
- Public prices are not reliably comparable because providers package numbers, minutes, channels, recording, integrations, implementation, support, and taxes differently.
How should you interpret this list?
This is an editorial shortlist for 2026, not an independently audited ranking. The order is not a claim that Ozonetel is better than Exotel or that one provider is the cheapest. Provider selection depends on whether the requirement is inbound support, outbound sales, contact-center scale, API-driven communication, WhatsApp, or a simple shared business phone.
The shortlist uses six practical inclusion tests: relevance to cloud telephony or contact centers, suitability for Indian business numbers, current product positioning, useful business workflows, integration potential, and the ability to investigate compliance and implementation requirements. No hands-on call-quality, uptime, support, setup-speed, or user-experience testing was performed.

- Ultra-Powerful Bluetooth Tech: Wireless earpiece features the updated 5.3 Bluetooth technology to quickly and stably connect devices in the 10m range.
One important limitation applies to vendor-reported figures. Customer counts, employee counts, conversation totals, and uptime claims below are attributed to the vendors and are not independent market statistics.
What are the 10 best cloud telephony providers in India?
The table is a fast way to narrow the list. “Confirm” means the capability or commercial condition should be checked in a current quote rather than assumed from a general product page.
| Provider | Best fit | Numbering and call workflows | Agent, analytics, and integration angle | What to confirm before buying |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ozonetel | Enterprise customer experience and high-volume contact centers | Cloud telephony, IVR, auto dialers, business phone systems, and auto attendants; confirm Indian numbers and concurrency | Voice AI agents, agent assist, voice-of-customer, quality audit, and contact-management capabilities | Implementation scope, support model, concurrency, number availability, integrations, and quote |
| Exotel | API-led business calling, support, sales, and programmable workflows | Single business number, concurrent calls and SMS, IVR, routing, missed-call notifications, and calling workflows | Voice APIs, unified messaging, analytics, conversation analysis, and AI-human contact-center workflows | Numbering, concurrency, recording retention, outbound restrictions, DLT handling, and service-level terms |
| Tata Tele Business Services / Smartflo | Large or regulated organizations needing telecom-provider procurement | Smartflo, SIP Trunk, connectivity, collaboration, and contact-center options; select the exact TTBS product | Carrier and enterprise-infrastructure orientation rather than a single software-only feature set | Product scope, SIP or carrier integration, implementation ownership, support, channels, and commercial terms |
| Airtel IQ | Telco-backed CPaaS, delivery communication, and high-volume outbound workflows | Click-to-call, IVR, outbound dialer, mobile or landline caller ID, toll-free service, masking, and announcements | Voice, SMS, and IVR platform with telco-integrated communication workflows | Current APIs, number types, consent and DLT workflow, recording, retention, service levels, and pricing |
| MyOperator | SMB and mid-market omnichannel communication | Virtual numbers, advanced IVR, outbound dialers, calls, SMS, and WhatsApp | CRM and API integrations with centrally managed team and customer-touchpoint visibility | Porting, role permissions, recording, WhatsApp charges, usage limits, and support escalation |
| TeleCMI | Startups and medium-sized businesses needing PBX, contact-center, or API features | Indian virtual or toll-free numbers, transfer, conferencing, auto dialer, and cloud PBX | Webhooks, Web SDK, live feeds, custom integrations, mobile apps, and a vendor-claimed 120-plus integrations | Current plan limits, number availability, API scope, recording, support, and pricing snapshot date |
| Knowlarity | Established sales teams, marketing operations, and broad contact-center deployments | Virtual and toll-free numbers, IVR, number masking, missed-call services, click-to-call, and automated outbound calling | WebRTC and MPLS softphones, speech analytics, text-to-speech, chat bots, and voice bots | Indian outbound rules, recording, AI feature scope, integrations, implementation, support, and current quote |
| Servetel | Startups and SMEs needing practical virtual-number and IVR workflows | Virtual landline numbers, IVR, call routing, and voice-broadcasting-style workflows | API reference material and call analytics; verify current API and reporting depth | Plans, Indian number availability, DLT and consent process, support, and concurrency |
| Sarv | SMB and mid-market teams wanting voice, SMS, and failover around a virtual mobile number | 10-digit dynamic virtual mobile number, inbound calls, missed calls, long codes, IVR, and failover routing | Voice and SMS in one service with capacity and routing features described by the vendor | Recording, queues, APIs, local coverage, concurrency, retention, and current commercial terms |
| CloudTalk | International-oriented teams comparing a broader global calling stack | India numbering, local regulatory handling, porting, and feature availability must be verified directly | Consider only when global administration matters more than India-native procurement and support | Indian numbers, DLT or consent handling, local support, data location, pricing, and product scope |
CloudTalk is included as the international-oriented slot identified in a current India-focused comparison, where CloudTalk is positioned toward outbound sales. The reviewed evidence does not establish current Indian-number availability or India-specific compliance handling, so a multinational buyer should validate those points before treating CloudTalk as a live India option. The 2026 comparison source also discusses RingCentral and Cisco Webex Calling as alternatives; a strictly India-native shortlist can replace CloudTalk with one of them only after the same product check.
What is cloud telephony?
Cloud telephony delivers business calling through hosted software and telecom services instead of requiring the company to operate a traditional on-premises PBX. A typical setup combines a virtual number or toll-free number, IVR menus, routing rules, queues, call recording, analytics, CRM connectivity, APIs, and browser or mobile calling.

For a support team, an incoming caller can reach a virtual number, hear an IVR greeting, enter a menu choice, join a queue, and be routed to an available agent. A sales team might use click-to-call, number masking, an outbound dialer, call recording, and CRM activity logging. A developer might use an API or SDK to trigger calls, announcements, reminders, or status updates from another application.
Cloud telephony does not automatically provide every one of those features in every plan. Number type, concurrency, recording, integrations, WhatsApp, APIs, and supervisor tools can be separate products or paid tiers.
Which provider is best for each business use case?
The best shortlist changes with the operating model. Use the following matches as starting points, then test the exact workflow with a trial or proof of concept.

Is Ozonetel best for enterprise customer experience?
Ozonetel is a strong candidate for enterprise customer experience and high-volume contact centers because its product positioning extends beyond a basic virtual number.
The Ozonetel platform presents call-center software, cloud telephony, auto dialers, IVR, contact management, business phone systems, auto attendants, voice AI agents, agent assist, voice-of-customer, and quality-audit tools. That breadth is relevant when supervisors need quality workflows, AI assistance, or a broader contact-center operating layer.
Ozonetel should not be selected solely because a vendor-authored 2026 roundup lists it. Ask for a demonstration using your expected concurrent calls, queue structure, recording policy, CRM, reporting exports, failover design, and Indian-number requirements. Confirm whether implementation, training, integrations, and support are included in the quote.
Exotel: programmable business calling and APIs
Exotel is a good fit for a company that needs a programmable business phone system, call-routing workflows, or a path from ordinary business calling to API-driven customer engagement.

Exotel’s current product positioning should be read alongside a quote for the required modules.
Exotel’s current homepage claims 99.99% uptime; the figure is an Exotel claim, not an independent audit or a guarantee for every plan. Ask for the contractual service-level commitment, incident process, recording retention, concurrency limits, Indian-number options, outbound restrictions, and DLT responsibilities.

When does Tata Tele Business Services or Smartflo make sense?
Tata Tele Business Services is worth comparing when the buyer values an Indian telecom-provider relationship, carrier connectivity, enterprise procurement, or a structured implementation rather than only a software-first calling interface.
Tata Tele Business Services describes a portfolio covering connectivity, collaboration, cloud, security, and marketing solutions. The relevant product may be Smartflo, SIP Trunk, a contact-center service, or another TTBS offering, so the buyer should name the exact product in the request for proposal. Tata Tele Business Services’ portfolio description does not mean every TTBS service has the same features or pricing.
According to a Tata Tele Business Services case study reviewed for this 2026 shortlist, a Knowlarity deployment used 1,500 SIP-Trunk channels. The case study is a specific deployment example, not a general Smartflo capacity benchmark. The Knowlarity SIP Trunk case study is most useful for understanding the carrier-connectivity angle.
Airtel IQ: telco-backed cloud voice and CPaaS
Airtel IQ suits enterprises that want telco-integrated cloud voice for customer, delivery, appointment, or campaign communication.
Airtel IQ Cloud Telephony lists click-to-call, IVR, outbound dialers, mobile and landline caller ID, toll-free service, number masking, automated announcements, and workflows such as appointment reminders, flight updates, order confirmations, and delivery communication.
Airtel’s launch announcement dated October 26, 2020 described Airtel IQ as a cloud-based omnichannel communications platform for Voice, SMS, and IVR, with encrypted and masked communications. The launch date is historical; current buyers should rely on the current product scope and contract rather than assume that every 2020 capability or commercial term remains unchanged. Airtel’s October 26, 2020 launch announcement provides the original positioning.
Before choosing Airtel IQ, confirm API access, number types, caller-ID rules, recording and retention, DLT and consent workflow, supported concurrency, and the service-level terms for the specific use case.
Is MyOperator best for an omnichannel SMB?
MyOperator is a practical first option for an SMB or mid-market team that wants calls, SMS, WhatsApp, IVR, virtual numbers, and CRM connectivity in a centrally managed service.
MyOperator’s cloud contact-center page describes advanced IVR routing, virtual numbers, outbound dialers, CRM and API integrations, and visibility across calls, SMS, and WhatsApp. The page defines a cloud contact center as “a centrally managed communication system that replaces on-premise telephony and disconnected messaging tools with a cloud-hosted platform for handling customer conversations across voice, WhatsApp, and SMS.” MyOperator’s cloud contact-center description explains the omnichannel positioning.
According to MyOperator’s current company-page claims reviewed for 2026, the company serves more than 12,000 businesses, has more than 250 professionals, and has handled more than 2 billion conversations. These are MyOperator’s reported figures, not independently verified market measurements. Ask about number portability, role permissions, recording, WhatsApp charges, usage limits, data handling, and support escalation before comparing a package with a voice-only provider.

TeleCMI: cloud PBX, contact center, and voice AI
TeleCMI is a useful candidate for startups and medium-sized domestic businesses that want cloud PBX or contact-center features together with integrations, APIs, and voice AI options.
TeleCMI presents cloud telephony, cloud PBX, contact-center software, business-phone systems, voice AI agents, post-call analytics, voice APIs and SDKs, virtual numbers, toll-free numbers, and international numbers. The company says it supports more than 120 CRM, marketing, help-desk, and business-tool integrations. TeleCMI’s current homepage is the source for that vendor positioning.
According to TeleCMI’s 2026 homepage claim, more than 3,500 businesses use the platform and the service offers more than 120 integrations. Those figures are vendor-reported. Published feature material includes webhooks, Web SDK, live feeds, custom integration, call recording, transfer, conferencing, whispering, mobile apps, and auto dialer.
TeleCMI publishes a plan table and advertises a 10-day free trial, but the plan page is a pricing snapshot rather than an apples-to-apples market benchmark. TeleCMI’s plan and feature page should be checked for current limits, number fees, recording rules, support, and included integrations.

What is Knowlarity best suited for?
Knowlarity is best suited to established sales, marketing, and contact-center teams that need a broad voice, messaging, automation, and analytics suite rather than only a basic virtual number.
Knowlarity’s product catalog lists cloud contact center, virtual numbers, IVR, number masking, missed-call services, toll-free numbers, automated outbound calling, click-to-call, WebRTC and MPLS softphones, Truecaller and Google verified calling, speech analytics, text-to-speech, and chat or voice bots.
According to Knowlarity’s 2026 product-page claims, more than 6,000 businesses across more than 65 countries use its services and the company has more than 300 employees. These are vendor-reported figures, not an audited ranking. A buyer should request a current feature matrix for Indian numbers, outbound campaigns, recording, speech analytics, AI features, integrations, implementation, and support.
For consultants and integrators: Knowlarity publishes a Knowlarity channel partnership page describing channel sales, Premium Partnership, ISV, and system-integrator collaboration. The page does not establish commission rates, approval likelihood, or guaranteed commercial terms.

Servetel: practical startup and SME calling
Servetel is worth a first comparison for startups and SMEs that need an Indian virtual number, IVR, call routing, outbound or broadcast-style workflows, and call analytics without immediately adopting a large enterprise contact-center stack.
The reviewed Servetel material includes an API reference for creating an IVR and case-study material describing virtual landline numbers, IVR, voice broadcasting, and call analytics. Those references support Servetel as a practical feature-coverage candidate, not a claim that Servetel is the cheapest or best-performing option.
Confirm current plan details, number availability, API documentation, concurrent-call limits, recording and retention, DLT and consent workflow, support escalation, and whether voice broadcasting is permitted for the exact audience and use case. Broadcast capability should never be treated as permission to make unsolicited commercial calls.
Why consider Sarv for virtual mobile calling?
Sarv is a useful candidate when a business wants a virtual mobile number with voice, SMS, missed-call handling, IVR, and failover-oriented routing.
Sarv describes a 10-digit dynamic virtual mobile number hosted on its servers, supporting voice and SMS, inbound calls, missed calls, long codes, failover routing, IVR features, and high call and message capacity. These are vendor-described capabilities. Sarv’s virtual mobile-number page gives the relevant product scope.
Sarv also says, “Our virtual mobile number comes with expanded range of powerful features that can enhance your brand image and make the business communication more effective.” The statement is marketing language from Sarv’s official product page, not an independent performance finding. The page advertises a three-day free demo, so a test should include real routing, agent availability, recording, SMS behavior, API needs, local-number coverage, and failover rather than only a successful outbound call.
CloudTalk: an international option that needs India validation
CloudTalk belongs on an international buyer’s comparison list only when the company needs a broader global calling environment and can verify India-specific operation before purchase.
The reviewed 2026 India-focused roundup positions CloudTalk toward outbound sales and lists it among international-oriented alternatives. The reviewed source set does not establish current Indian-number availability, local regulatory handling, DLT processes, domestic support, or feature parity for India. The India-focused provider comparison is therefore a discovery source, not proof that CloudTalk is ready for every Indian deployment.
Ask CloudTalk or any international alternative such as RingCentral or Cisco Webex Calling to confirm Indian virtual or toll-free numbers, porting, caller identity, outbound restrictions, recording and data location, support coverage, taxes, and the exact India product. If the provider cannot answer those questions in writing, choose an India-focused vendor instead.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is cloud telephony legal and compliant in India?
Cloud telephony is not automatically compliant merely because the software is hosted by a recognized provider. Compliance depends on the purpose of the communication, consent, customer preferences, caller identity, registration and template requirements, recording and retention, data handling, and sector-specific rules.

TRAI’s consolidated regulations page lists the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, the 2025 second amendment, and consolidated regulation material released on May 21, 2026. TRAI’s consolidated telecom regulations should be the starting point for a current compliance review.
TRAI’s preference-registration facility distinguishes commercial-communication categories and modes including voice calls, autodialer calls with prerecorded announcements, autodialer calls connected to live agents, and robocalls. TRAI’s preference-registration information is especially relevant to outbound sales, reminders, automated announcements, and campaign design.

TRAI also lists a May 4, 2024 direction concerning implementation of a Voice DLT solution for commercial communications under the 2018 regulations. TRAI’s directions listing is the appropriate place to verify the regulator’s direction and related updates. TRAI’s March 13, 2026 consultation on a draft third amendment shows that the commercial-communications framework continues to evolve. The 2026 TRAI consultation should not be read as a substitute for checking the rules currently applicable to a campaign.
Before signing, ask the provider and your own legal or compliance team:
- Who captures and stores consent, and how can consent or opt-out records be exported?
- Does the provider support the required DLT registration, sender identity, templates, and message or call category?
- Which outbound uses are permitted, and which autodialer, prerecorded, robocall, or live-agent flows are restricted?
- How are caller identity, number masking, recordings, retention, access permissions, deletion, and data transfers handled?
- Are there additional obligations for financial services, healthcare, insurance, education, delivery, or another regulated sector?
How much does cloud telephony cost in India?
There is no defensible single “cloud telephony price in India” because the bill changes with number type, minutes, concurrent channels, recording, integrations, messaging, implementation, support, and taxes or fees.
| Quote item | What to ask for | Why it changes the comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Number | Virtual mobile, virtual landline, toll-free, international number, rental, setup, porting, and caller-ID options | A low monthly plan may exclude the number type or porting option the business actually needs |
| Traffic | Included inbound and outbound minutes, per-minute rates, SMS, WhatsApp, and overage rules | Usage-based charges can outweigh the advertised subscription |
| Capacity | Concurrent calls, channels, queues, agents, dialer limits, and peak-hour behavior | A plan suitable for five agents may not support a campaign or contact-center peak |
| Features | IVR depth, recording, transcription, analytics, whispering, barging, conferencing, and failover | Advanced supervisor and quality features may be add-ons or enterprise-only |
| Integration | CRM, help desk, ERP, APIs, webhooks, SDKs, automation, and custom implementation | Integration work can create a larger cost than the phone subscription |
| Service | Support hours, onboarding, training, SLA, incident response, data handling, and compliance assistance | Enterprise support and compliance requirements can change the total cost materially |
| Taxes and fees | GST, setup, number rental, porting, minimum commitment, cancellation, and contract fees | Quoted prices may not be directly comparable until all mandatory charges are itemized |
TeleCMI publishes a plan table and a 10-day free trial, while MyOperator publishes example packages. Those public pages are useful for understanding packaging but should be treated as dated snapshots, not universal market prices. TeleCMI’s published plan information and MyOperator’s published product information should be checked again when requesting a quote.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteRequest every shortlisted provider to price the same scenario: the same number type, agent count, monthly inbound and outbound minutes, peak concurrency, recording retention, integrations, WhatsApp or SMS volume, implementation work, support level, contract term, and taxes. That produces a more meaningful comparison than ranking monthly plan prices alone.
What should you test before migrating?
A provider is ready for production only after the number, workflow, integration, compliance, and failure behavior have been tested together.
- Map the call flows. Write down inbound support, sales callbacks, reminders, delivery calls, missed-call campaigns, transfers, queues, working hours, holidays, and escalation paths.
- Verify numbers. Confirm Indian virtual, mobile, landline, toll-free, or international numbering; porting requirements; caller-ID presentation; masking; and the fallback number if the main route fails.
- Build the IVR. Test greetings, menu depth, language options, ring groups, queues, timeout behavior, voicemail, call transfer, conferencing, and after-hours announcements.
- Test the agent experience. Compare browser softphone, WebRTC, desktop, and mobile options; test remote work, headset compatibility, call transfer, whispering, barging, and supervisor controls where required.
- Test recordings and analytics. Verify whether recording is automatic or optional, who can access it, how long it is retained, whether it can be exported, and whether reports show the metrics the team actually uses.
- Connect the business systems. Test CRM screen-pop, click-to-call, API authentication, webhooks, SDK behavior, ticket creation, call dispositions, duplicate handling, and error alerts.
- Complete the compliance review. Confirm consent capture, DLT registration and templates, permitted calling categories, opt-out handling, caller identity, data retention, and sector-specific controls.
- Test failure and scale. Simulate internet loss, agent unavailability, number failure, peak concurrency, queue overflow, and provider support escalation. Ask for documented failover and incident commitments.
- Get an itemized quote. Put numbers, minutes, channels, integrations, setup, training, support, minimum commitments, taxes, and cancellation terms into the final comparison sheet.
A business that lacks internal telecom or CRM expertise may benefit from a cloud telephony implementation partner for IVR design, CRM integration, contact-center deployment, and compliance coordination. Treat that as a separate professional-services decision: the reviewed provider set supports the category opportunity, but no universal affiliate program or standard service terms were verified.
Which provider should you shortlist first?
For a small Indian team, start with MyOperator, TeleCMI, Sarv, Servetel, and Exotel. MyOperator is the most natural first comparison when WhatsApp and shared customer communications matter; TeleCMI is useful when cloud PBX, APIs, and integrations matter; Sarv and Servetel deserve consideration for straightforward number, IVR, routing, and analytics workflows; and Exotel is the stronger initial candidate when programmability is central.
Recommended Free Tools
For a larger contact center or enterprise customer-experience operation, compare Ozonetel, Exotel, Knowlarity, Airtel IQ, and Tata Tele Business Services. Compare architecture, concurrency, carrier or SIP requirements, recording and quality controls, implementation ownership, support escalation, compliance responsibilities, and contractual service levels rather than relying on feature-count claims.
For a multinational, CloudTalk, RingCentral, or Cisco Webex Calling may be worth evaluating as international alternatives, but India-specific numbers, local compliance handling, data practices, domestic support, and actual product scope must be confirmed first. The most reliable final decision is a like-for-like pilot and itemized quote, not a universal “best” badge or an unverified cheapest-price claim.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: For smaller Indian businesses, begin with MyOperator, TeleCMI, Sarv, Servetel, and Exotel. For high-volume or enterprise deployments, compare Ozonetel, Exotel, Knowlarity, Airtel IQ, and Tata Tele Business Services. Validate Indian numbering, outbound compliance, integrations, concurrency, failover, support, and the complete usage-based quote before committing.
