007 First Light’s first major free DLC, Extended Operations (Update 1.3.0), became available on October 1, 2026. It adds New Game+, a 00 difficulty mode, Photo Mode, and two TacSim additions, alongside a publisher-reported total of more than 700 fixes and improvements. New Game+ and 00 difficulty both require completing the campaign.
What’s included in Extended Operations?
IO Interactive describes Extended Operations as the first major free DLC for 007 First Light. Its headline additions are replay and difficulty options, Photo Mode, and new TacSim content. The release notes also list new weapons and outfits.

New Game+
After completing the entire campaign, you can replay it in New Game+. It lets you change outfits through the journal, restart from a chosen checkpoint, and switch among gadgets you have already unlocked at that point in the story. You can use custom outfits and gadgets on Easy, Normal, Hard, or 00 difficulty once 00 is unlocked.
00 difficulty
Completing the campaign also unlocks 00, which IOI presents as the game’s toughest challenge. Enemies spot Bond faster, react sooner to bodies and disturbances, and hit harder. Some guards are replaced with tougher variants, and gadget use is restricted when a guard can see you. Fights are less forgiving: enemies can kill Bond in two hits, and parry and side-step timing is tighter. Gadget-use resources restore only a fraction of their usual amount.

Photo Mode
Photo Mode can freeze the action so you can compose a shot. Its controls include character posing, camera movement and lens adjustment, brightness and post-processing, and options for frames, backgrounds, and logos.
New TacSim missions, weapons, and outfits
Valhalla Protocol adds four driving missions set in the Slovakian mountains, with day and night variants, the Aston Martin Valhalla, and weapon-based target challenges. Jungle Heist returns to The Pearl resort in Vietnam for a mission to retrieve documents from a villa.

How do you unlock New Game+ and 00 difficulty?
Finish the full campaign first. That completion unlocks both New Game+ and 00 difficulty; neither is available simply by installing the update. Once unlocked, select New Game+ for a replay and choose 00 as the difficulty if you want its stricter stealth and combat rules.

What does “over 700 fixes and improvements” mean?
IOI says Update 1.3.0 includes over 700 fixes and improvements, drawing on player reports, support tickets, and feedback. The publisher’s notes identify work on crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization, and interface polish. The figure is IOI’s reported count, not an independently audited total; consult the official notes for the detailed changes.

When did Extended Operations release, and can you play offline?
Extended Operations was announced as available on October 1, 2026; the patch notes give a release time of 12:00 UTC / 14:00 CEST. IOI’s support page says the main campaign can be played offline after a one-time internet connection to download the day-one patch. It recommends online play for leaderboards, challenges, and other connected features, so the offline statement should not be taken to cover those features.
