SecurityWeek’s Zero Trust Strategies Summit was a virtual event held on October 9, 2024. Its October 14 announcement said the sessions were then available on demand, but current access to those recordings is not established. The 2024 event centered on identity management and Zero Trust, with sessions covering conditional access, authentication, endpoint context and IT operations.
What was the Zero Trust Strategies Summit?
SecurityWeek presented the summit as a virtual conference intended to help organizations strengthen identity and Zero Trust strategies. It took place on October 9, 2024. Five days later, SecurityWeek announced that the sessions were available on demand in its virtual conference center. That announcement describes availability at the time; it does not establish whether the recordings can still be watched today. SecurityWeek’s October 14, 2024 announcement
The official agenda page also lists a separate 2026 summit. Its listing should not be confused with the 2024 event or used to infer that the older recordings remain available. Official Zero Trust Strategies Summit agenda
What topics did the 2024 agenda cover?
The agenda connected identity decisions to practical access and security operations. Its descriptions were supplied by the event publisher and participating vendors; they outline session topics, not independent proof of product effectiveness.
#1 Best Overall
Conditional access and endpoint context
In “Zero Trust: Improving the Conditional Access Experience,” Tanium’s Mike Fiorina discussed enforcement challenges and a combined Microsoft Entra ID and Tanium XEM solution. The framing links access decisions to endpoint information as well as identity.
Authentication weaknesses and security debt
Dave Lewis of 1Password presented “Zero Trust & The Flaming Sword of Justice.” The agenda description addressed misconfigurations, weaknesses in authentication, security debt and shadow IT, along with ways to strengthen authentication.
Identity as a security control plane
A fireside chat, “Security Outcomes powered by Identity,” brought together Jane Domboski of OneMain Financial and Cory Musselman of Kyndryl, moderated by Matt Immler of Okta. The agenda described identity as a control plane and discussed visibility and control across users, applications and infrastructure, as well as detection, response and automation.
IT operations and product demonstrations
Jason Kikta of Automox presented “Journey to IT Ops Agility,” framed around Automox’s 2024 State of IT Operations survey. The agenda does not provide a survey statistic to quote. It also listed Automox and Tanium product demonstrations and a session introducing 1Password Extended Access Management. Claims in that session description about identity authenticity, application sign-on and device health are vendor claims, not independently verified outcomes. See the official 2024 agenda descriptions

How to interpret the summit’s Zero Trust themes
The session topics suggest several useful questions for evaluating an organization’s own approach, rather than a formal framework published by the summit:
- Identity and application coverage: Which users and applications are covered by identity controls, and where are visibility gaps?
- Access experience and enforcement: How are access rules enforced, and what friction do they create for legitimate users?
- Device context: Does endpoint or device health inform access decisions, and how is that information used?
- Operational burden: What processes help teams find misconfigurations, address security debt and manage IT operations?
- Governance: How do identity and access controls fit the organization’s oversight and regulatory obligations?
These questions reflect themes in the agenda, not comparative test results. Several sessions were vendor-led or featured product demonstrations, so readers should treat them as conference presentations and assess product claims against their own requirements and independent evidence.

Can you still watch the 2024 recordings?
SecurityWeek’s announcement stated that all sessions were on demand on October 14, 2024. The available event information does not confirm present-day access or its conditions. Check the official event page for the current status, and verify that any session listing refers to the October 9, 2024 summit rather than the separate 2026 event. Official agenda and event page
