XREAL AURA is an announced Android XR optical see-through glasses system with Sony Micro-OLED displays and a separate compute puck. It is not yet confirmed to be on general sale: as of October 7, 2026, XREAL describes it as coming in Fall 2026 and is accepting reservations. The company says the base model will cost no more than US$1,500 before tax, with final pricing and shipping details still to come.
What XREAL has announced
AURA pairs lightweight glasses with a separate compute puck rather than putting all of the system’s computing hardware in the frames. XREAL’s product page identifies Android XR and a Snapdragon Reality Elite platform in the puck, plus an XREAL X1S Spatial Coprocessor in the glasses. Google also listed AURA among the devices demonstrated at AWE 2026.
XREAL markets AURA as “spatial computing glasses” and says it is “not a headset” and “not display glasses.” Those are the manufacturer’s positioning terms; the confirmed design detail is that AURA uses optical see-through glasses and a separate puck.

XREAL xbx a01+ AR Glasses, 147'' Big-Screen Display for Movies & Gaming
- YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
- ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
- 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
- LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
- WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.
Is XREAL AURA on sale now?
Not according to the status XREAL lists as of October 7, 2026. Its product page says AURA is coming in Fall 2026 and offers early reservations. It does not confirm that general retail sales have begun. XREAL says reservations are fully refundable before final purchase confirmation; final configurations, pricing and shipping details are expected closer to launch.
The company says the base model’s final retail price will not exceed US$1,500 before tax. That is a price ceiling, not a confirmed final price. XREAL lists the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea and multiple European countries among supported launch regions, with availability potentially expanding; the listing does not establish worldwide availability.
