The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a clearer published spec sheet, but the available India information does not support a reliable price-difference verdict against the vivo T5 5G. Xiaomi lists a 1.5K AMOLED display, 200MP main camera, 6500mAh typical battery and 100W in-box charger. vivo’s official India pages conflict on key T5 details, and the only surfaced store price is for a 6GB+128GB listing that cannot be matched confidently to those specs.
At a glance: what the India pages establish
| Category | Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G | vivo T5 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, up to 2.7GHz, according to Xiaomi India. | Not established consistently: surfaced vivo India details differ, with one page identifying Dimensity 7400-Turbo. Confirm the exact local SKU before comparing processors (vivo parameter page; vivo product page). |
| Display | 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED, up to 120Hz, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, per Xiaomi India. | Not established consistently: one vivo parameter page describes a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD up to 120Hz, while the other page differs. |
| Rear cameras | 200MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide, per Xiaomi India. | One surfaced vivo page describes a 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide; resolve the source/SKU conflict before treating this as definitive. |
| Battery and charging | 6500mAh typical battery; Xiaomi lists a 100W charger in the box. | Surfaced official details state 7200mAh and 44W, but the vivo pages conflict on specifications. |
| Memory and storage | Xiaomi lists 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. | Multiple combinations are listed across the surfaced vivo details, but the pages disagree. Confirm the exact regional configuration. |
| Ingress protection | Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, subject to its stated test conditions. | One vivo page describes IP68/IP69-related water resistance; confirm the exact SKU and applicable conditions. |
| Software and support | HyperOS 3; Xiaomi product copy claims four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. | vivo’s product page lists OriginOS 6/Android 16 and claims three Android OS upgrades and five years of security patch updates. Regional applicability needs confirmation. |
These are manufacturer-published specifications and policy claims, not independent measurements. The Xiaomi figures come from its India specification page accessed October 4, 2026 (Xiaomi India specifications); the vivo pages surfaced conflicting information on the same date (vivo parameters; vivo product page).
Which published differences could matter most?
Display
If the vivo parameter-page description is for the T5 variant being sold, the contrast is AMOLED versus LCD, as well as 1.5K versus FHD+ resolution. Those differences may matter for perceived contrast and sharpness, but the conflict between vivo’s official pages means buyers should check the precise India model number and retail listing before deciding on display hardware.
Camera hardware
Xiaomi lists optical image stabilization (OIS) on the 200MP main camera; the surfaced vivo excerpt describes a 50MP main camera. Resolution and stabilization are specifications, not proof of better photographs. Actual image quality depends on factors such as sensor, lens, processing and shooting conditions, and no independent camera testing is established here.

Battery and charging
On paper, the surfaced vivo figure of 7200mAh exceeds Xiaomi’s 6500mAh typical capacity, while Xiaomi lists a faster-rated 100W in-box charger against vivo’s surfaced 44W figure. Because the vivo source details conflict, verify its exact variant before using these numbers to choose. Capacity and charger wattage do not establish real-world battery life or charging time.
Durability
Xiaomi publishes four IP ratings, while a surfaced vivo page describes IP68/IP69-related water resistance. Ratings depend on defined test conditions and do not make either phone immune to damage; review the applicable manufacturer caveats and warranty terms. Do not test water resistance by submerging a phone yourself.

Software support
Xiaomi’s product copy claims four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. vivo’s product page claims three Android OS upgrades and five years of security patch updates. These are manufacturer policy claims, not independently verified delivery histories; check that the promise applies to the India SKU you are buying. Price difference in India: not reliably established
A vivo Official E-Store India search-result excerpt showed ₹34,999 for a T5 5G 6GB+128GB listing (vivo Official E-Store listing). However, its specification details do not reconcile with the surfaced official product pages. No comparable current official Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G price was established, so the available figures cannot produce a defensible price difference.

Before comparing checkout prices, confirm the model number and RAM/storage tier for both phones, then compare current prices in the same market and at the same time. Keep discounts, bank offers, exchange value and list price separate; they are not interchangeable measures of what a buyer will pay.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose without a misleading spec comparison
- Verify vivo’s exact India variant first: match the retail listing’s model number against an official vivo specification page, especially for display, chipset, battery and charging.
- Compare like-for-like storage: do not compare the vivo 6GB+128GB store listing with a higher-memory Redmi configuration and call the difference a model-to-model price gap.
- Use your priorities to weigh the specs: screen type and resolution, camera stabilization, charging, storage, protection ratings and update commitments may matter differently depending on your use.
- Check terms as well as headline claims: verify software-policy coverage, water-resistance conditions and warranty for the exact regional model.
No hands-on test or independent benchmark evidence is available here to name a performance, camera, endurance or durability winner. The published specifications can guide what to verify, but they cannot substitute for confirmed SKU details and comparable current prices.
