Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down
One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchPC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11If your Withings Body Scan is not sending measurements to your account, first check whether it was set up for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth: each connection type has different troubleshooting steps. Before changing the connection, confirm the scale is registered in the Withings App, check for unassigned measurements, and inspect its battery level.
Start with the checks that apply to either connection
- Confirm the scale is in the app. Open the Withings App and go to Devices. Check whether Body Scan is listed. If it is missing, add and install it again using the setup steps below. Withings’ no-data troubleshooting guide recommends checking device registration before assuming the scale has failed.
- Look for measurements that were not assigned. Check the app menu for unassigned measurements. If a reading appears there, assign it to the correct account rather than troubleshooting the connection.
- Check the battery. A low battery can affect connectivity. Charge the scale if its battery is low, then try syncing again.
- Identify the connection used during setup. If you are unsure, review the scale’s setup in the app. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth checks below are different.
Fix Wi-Fi syncing problems
Wi-Fi is the preferred setup when a working network is available near the scale. Withings says it recommends Wi-Fi “for usability and synchronization purposes” in its Body Scan installation instructions.
- Check the network. Confirm that Wi-Fi is working for other devices and that Body Scan is close enough to the router. Move the scale closer temporarily to test whether signal range is the problem. If needed, restart the router and try again.
- Update the scale’s Wi-Fi settings after a network change. If you replaced the router, changed internet providers, or changed the network name or password, open Devices, select Body Scan, and open the scale settings. Choose Update Wi-Fi Configuration, then follow the prompts to select a network and enter its details. See Withings’ Wi-Fi configuration instructions.
- Try a sync again. After confirming the network or updating its configuration, return the scale to its usual location and check whether a new measurement reaches your account.
Fix Bluetooth syncing problems
Bluetooth syncing depends on the mobile device paired with the scale. Withings says Body Scan communicates with the last device it paired with, so a different phone may not receive the readings even if it is nearby.
- Bring the phone used to set up Body Scan close to the scale and open the Withings App.
- Check that the app is open on the phone that was paired with the scale. If several phones have been used, the last paired phone may be the one Body Scan is trying to reach.
- Check the scale’s battery and charge it if low; Withings notes that low battery can temporarily affect Bluetooth connectivity.
- Keep the scale software up to date.
What to do when the scale shows “Synchronization issue”
Withings defines the on-scale “Synchronization issue” message as a failure to sync with the app. For a Wi-Fi setup, confirm the network works, move the scale closer to the router, and update its Wi-Fi configuration if the network name or password changed. For a Bluetooth setup, bring the last-paired phone nearby with the Withings App open. Also check the battery, since low charge can temporarily affect Bluetooth connectivity. These checks follow Withings’ scale error guidance.

Repeat setup or pairing if needed
If the scale is missing from Devices or the existing connection cannot be restored, Withings’ installation flow lets you pair it again. Before starting, have the Wi-Fi password ready if you plan to use Wi-Fi, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, and allow the Withings App to access location.
- In the Withings App, add a scale and select Body Scan.
- Hold the scale’s pairing button for at least three seconds. It should display a QR code and “Open Withings App.”
- Wait for the app to detect the scale; detection can take up to a minute.
- Pair in the app using the six-digit code shown on the scale.
- Follow the prompts to connect to Wi-Fi, or choose the Bluetooth-only option if Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Withings permits Bluetooth-only setup when Wi-Fi is unavailable, but cautions that the scale loses most of its functionality in that mode. Its installation instructions recommend Wi-Fi for usability and synchronization.
