Was ist die Windows-Systemsteuerung?
Die Systemsteuerung – in Microsofts englischer Dokumentation „Control Panel“ – bündelt Windows-Einstellungen und Steuerungsmöglichkeiten in einzelnen Bereichen, den sogenannten Applets. Sie ist ein langjähriger Bestandteil von Windows und weiterhin sowohl in Windows 10 als auch in Windows 11 verfügbar. Microsoft verlagert jedoch nach und nach weitere Einstellungen in die modernere App Einstellungen und empfiehlt, diese zu verwenden, wann immer die passende Option dort vorhanden ist. So öffnen Sie die Systemsteuerung in Windows 10 oder 11
Die folgenden Wege funktionieren unter Windows 10 und Windows 11. Auf einem deutsch lokalisierten System kann der Eintrag als „Systemsteuerung“ angezeigt werden; Microsofts englische Anleitung nennt ihn „Control Panel“.
- Öffnen Sie das Startmenü und suchen Sie nach Systemsteuerung oder Control Panel. Wählen Sie das Suchergebnis aus.
- Alternativ drücken Sie Windows-Taste + R, geben
controlein und drücken die Eingabetaste.
Systemsteuerung oder Einstellungen: Was sollten Sie verwenden?
Für neuere Windows-Funktionen und übliche Geräteeinstellungen ist Einstellungen in der Regel der beste Startpunkt. Die Systemsteuerung ist dann hilfreich, wenn eine ältere Konfigurationsseite oder ein klassischer Desktop-Programmablauf dort noch verfügbar ist.

Programme über „Programme und Features“ deinstallieren

Windows-Tools für administrative Aufgaben
In Windows 11 enthält die Systemsteuerung den Ordner Windows-Tools. Er dient als Zugang zu Dienstprogrammen, die besonders für Administratoren und fortgeschrittene Nutzer gedacht sind. Er ersetzt nicht die Einstellungen-App und ist nicht der allgemeine Ort für jede Systemoption.
