A 360mm AIO will fit only if your exact case supports a 360mm radiator in the mounting position you want—and the full radiator-and-fan assembly clears nearby components. A case’s “360mm support” label is a starting point, not a guarantee: radiator length, total thickness, RAM and heatsink clearance, and remaining GPU space can all determine whether the cooler works in your build.
What “360mm radiator support” actually tells you
In a typical 360mm AIO, three 120mm fans sit along the radiator. The 360mm figure describes the radiator’s nominal size class; it does not specify the full assembly’s exact length, width, or thickness. Nor does it tell you whether the case supports that size at the top, front, or another mounting location.
Case limits are position-specific. DeepCool’s CC360 WH ARGB, for example, lists support for a 360mm radiator at the front but only 240mm at the top. Its specifications also list a maximum GPU length of 320mm, a figure worth checking when a front-mounted radiator and fans occupy space in front of the graphics card (DeepCool CC360 WH ARGB specifications).
Even where a case lists 360mm support at the desired position, the cooler’s actual dimensions and surrounding hardware still matter. Confirm the exact case model and revision, and use the measurements for the particular AIO you plan to install.

How to check whether your case and AIO will fit
- Find the case’s radiator limit for your chosen position. Check the manufacturer’s specifications or manual for top, front, and other mounts separately. Do not assume that support at one location applies to another.
- Look up the AIO radiator’s full dimensions. Compare its length, width, and thickness with the case’s stated limits. A nominal 360mm label does not establish the maximum assembly dimensions.
- Add the fan thickness. If the case gives a combined radiator-and-fan limit, compare that limit with the radiator and fans installed together. If it gives separate limits, make sure the complete assembly fits the available space.
- Check neighboring components and clearances. For a top mount, inspect RAM and motherboard heatsink clearance. For a front mount, check the space left for the GPU. Also consider whether the PSU, drive hardware, or other case structures occupy the radiator’s path.
- Plan the tube route and pump position. Once the dimensions work, confirm that the tubes can reach without being forced into a sharp bend and that the radiator can be positioned appropriately relative to the pump.
Why the mounting position changes the answer
Top mounting: check RAM and motherboard heatsinks
A top-mounted radiator-and-fan assembly can overlap the space used by motherboard heatsinks or memory modules. NZXT lists top and front support up to 360mm for the H7 Flow, but recommends a maximum top radiator-plus-fan thickness of 57mm. NZXT warns that thicker combinations may encounter heatsink or RAM clearance issues. The front mount may instead reduce available GPU length (NZXT H7 Flow radiator compatibility).
Front mounting: check GPU length
A front-mounted radiator and its fans use space that could otherwise be available to the graphics card. Compare the case’s GPU-clearance figure with the length of your GPU, accounting for the radiator assembly’s position. The CC360 WH ARGB’s listed 320mm maximum GPU length is a case-specific specification, not a universal clearance for front-mounted 360mm AIOs (DeepCool CC360 WH ARGB specifications).

Other positions: check their separate limits
Some cases support radiators in less common locations, but those mounts may have their own thickness restrictions. Lian Li lists the LANCOOL III for 360mm or 420mm radiators at the front and top, as well as a 360mm radiator above the PSU chamber. Its stated total-thickness limits vary by position and scenario: front configurations range from 40mm to 100mm, the top limit is 75mm, and the above-PSU limit is 80mm. Use the limit for the exact configuration you intend to use, not a single case-wide number (Lian Li LANCOOL III specifications).

Plan radiator orientation after confirming the fit
Dimensions establish whether an assembly can fit, but tube direction and pump position matter when installing it. Corsair’s support guidance says the radiator should sit higher in the loop than the pump so air collects away from the pump. It describes a top mount with tubes pointing down and a front mount with tube connections at the bottom as good positions. A front mount with tubes at the top is a last resort; in that arrangement, the pump should remain below the top of the radiator.

Corsair Support’s article states: “One good mounting position is to place the radiator at the top of the case with the tubes pointing downwards.” The right option still depends on the clearances and layout of the actual case and components (Corsair Support, updated February 28, 2024).

- The exact case model and revision supports a 360mm radiator at your chosen position.
- The specific AIO’s radiator length, width, and thickness fit the manufacturer’s stated limits.
- The full assembly, including fans, fits the available thickness and length.
- A top mount clears RAM and motherboard heatsinks, or a front mount leaves enough room for the GPU.
- PSU and drive hardware do not obstruct the chosen mount.
- The tubes can reach the pump and radiator in a suitable orientation.
Manufacturer specifications describe the intended limits, but they do not establish fit for every cooler revision or component layout. Before purchase, verify the case manual and AIO dimensions for the exact parts you will use.
