The game makes summons and merges unpredictable, while your resource use, merge choices, unit roles, and placement still shape a run. First identify where the run breaks down, then change one decision at a time.
Is it bad luck, or a strategy problem?
Lucky Defense, by 111%, is a luck-based tower-defense game built around summoning units, merging them, and defending against monsters. Its official Google Play listing describes summoning as luck-based and says merge outcomes are uncertain. That means an awkward run can genuinely start with poor draws. It does not mean every loss is explained by randomness: how you spend resources, which units you merge, and where you place them remain strategic choices.
Player reviews on the listing also describe placement and merge decisions as requiring skill or knowledge. Those are anecdotal opinions, not controlled evidence of which strategy wins more often. There is no established guaranteed team composition or measured win-rate improvement in the sources available here.
Find the point where the run starts to fail
Before copying a build or changing everything at once, work out what happened first. These questions help distinguish a rough run of summons from a decision you can adjust:
#1 Best Overall
- A Max Factory import
- From the anime series
- Smooth yet pose able joints
- Includes two expressions
- Articulated figma stand included
- Did you fall behind before getting a suitable damage unit? Unfavorable summons may be the immediate cause. Also check whether repeated summons left you short of resources for later decisions.
- Did you run low on resources after summoning? Review how much you spent and whether those summons supported a plan for the run.
- Did a merge remove a unit you needed? Check whether the units were ingredients for a guardian you intended to build, or were already serving a useful role on the board.
- Did enemies get through despite having damage units? Look beyond the headline damage unit: control, support, and placement may also affect how well the board handles enemies.
In your next attempt, change one variable—such as summon spending, a merge decision, or placement—and see whether the failure point shifts. This is a practical way to diagnose your own runs, not a guaranteed fix or a tested performance formula.
What to change first
Plan summons around your resources
A community beginner guide recommends paying attention to early summoning and resource management. Use that as a prompt to make deliberate choices rather than spending automatically. The right balance can depend on your current board and mode; the guide’s detailed suggestions may also be outdated after game updates.

Check a merge before committing
Merging changes your units, and a unit may be useful either as part of a planned guardian recipe or in its current board role. Before merging, check what you are trying to build and whether removing those units creates a gap in your defense. The community beginner guide discusses recipe-aware merging, but it is not an official guarantee that a particular recipe or approach is best after every balance change.
Match placement to unit purpose
Review where each unit stands and what job it is doing. The beginner guide says recommended positions can affect unit utility, but the evidence here does not establish exact tile coordinates. Use the game’s current recommendations or guidance for your units rather than relying on coordinates from an unverified build.

Do not rely on damage alone
If enemies pass through even when you have a damage unit, consider whether support or crowd control is missing or poorly placed. A board’s performance may depend on how its roles work together, not just on whether it has one powerful attacker. Treat this as a diagnostic question, not a claim that a particular role combination is proven to win.
Use advice that matches your mode
Guides can help when their recommendations fit your game mode, progression, and current version. A specific build is less useful if it solves a different problem from the one that caused your loss.

| Approach | Best fit | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Follow a mode-specific guide | Your mode and available units match the guide’s situation. | Confirm the advice is for your mode and is still relevant after updates; check its resource demands. |
| Diagnose your own failure point | Your board, progression, or available units differ from the guide, or you are unsure why the run failed. | Identify the first breakdown and adjust one decision on the next attempt. |
A separate Guild Battle guide describes an early Guild Raid sequence that uses luck stones while coins accumulate, then switches to coin summoning and prioritizes selected Mythic and Immortal guardians. Treat those as Guild Raid tactics, not general rules for every mode. The guide is a community source, and its recommendations may no longer match the current balance.

A better process can help you make more deliberate decisions, but no available source establishes a guaranteed winning composition, a reliable win-rate increase, or a fix that works for every difficulty. Random summons remain part of the game, and recommendations can depend on mode and balance updates. Use guides as starting points, then judge them against your actual board and the point where your run failed.
