Malwarebytes describes it as a Russian game-download site also used to distribute malware. Treat the alert as a reason not to visit the site or download files from it; scan your device if you encountered the block.
Why is Malwarebytes blocking byrutor.org?
Malwarebytes’ threat-detection record states: “The domain byrutor.org was blocked by Malwarebytes because it was associated with a Trojan.” Its record says the site offers games for download and is also used to distribute malware. The protection action listed is blocking the domain.
This is a domain-level warning, not proof that every file on the site is malicious or that your device is already infected. But it is a clear reason to avoid downloading or running anything from byrutor.org.
What to do after a Malwarebytes website-blocked alert
- Stop the download or visit. Do not bypass the alert, download files from byrutor.org, or run anything you may already have downloaded.
- Run a Malwarebytes Threat Scan. Malwarebytes recommends scanning after a Website Blocked notification. Use the scan options available in your installed product.
- Quarantine detections. Follow Malwarebytes’ prompts for any items it finds, including restarting the device if requested.
- Contact support if suspicious behavior continues. If problems persist after scanning, Malwarebytes advises collecting diagnostic logs and opening a support ticket. See its Website Blocked notification guidance and support instructions.
Should you allow or exclude byrutor.org?
Generally, no. Malwarebytes documents a Windows allow-list workflow on its detection page: open Detection History, choose Allow List, select Add, choose Allow a website, select Add a URL, enter the domain, and click Done. Allowing the domain removes this protection for it; it does not make the site safe or remove malware from downloaded files.

Use an exclusion only if you have a specific, verified reason and understand the risk. Because Malwarebytes associates the domain with a Trojan, bypassing the block is not a routine troubleshooting step.
Can you check a site without visiting it?
Malwarebytes describes Scam Guard Lite as a website-analysis feature that reports an overall threat level, key findings, recommendations, and red flags. Its support article says it is available in Chrome on macOS 13 or later and Windows 10 or 11. This can help assess a site without opening it directly, but it does not replace avoiding a domain Malwarebytes has flagged.

Is this the same as a RiskWare.DontStealOurSoftware detection?
No. Malwarebytes describes RiskWare.DontStealOurSoftware as a detection for tools or cracked versions that enable unpaid use of Malwarebytes features. That is a separate anti-crack detection; the byrutor.org record identifies a Trojan association, not that specific detection. Malwarebytes recommends using legitimate software and running a Threat Scan for the separate riskware issue.
