On February 11, 2025, 1Password announced that it had become Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Exclusive Cybersecurity Partner. The deal is more than car branding: the team uses 1Password Extended Access Management to help secure application access, shared vaults and developer secrets across a workforce that travels to races around the world.
What does 1Password do for Oracle Red Bull Racing?
1Password’s role is to help the team manage access to the applications and information it needs, including developer secrets. Its Extended Access Management approach is intended to make sign-ins from the team’s applications and devices trusted and secure. The partnership announcement describes a distributed operation: a large campus workforce and a 150-strong race team travelling to 24 locations. 1Password says the team analyzes more than 1.5 terabytes of data each race weekend.
Operational examples on 1Password’s partnership page include secure application access, shared vaults and developer-secrets management. The same page reports that software recovery time fell from 60 minutes to 2 minutes; this is a company-reported result, not an independently documented benchmark. Why is 1Password sponsoring Red Bull F1?
The partnership connects a cybersecurity product with a team whose work depends on protecting applications, engineering information and other sensitive data while people operate across locations and devices. It also gives 1Password prominent visibility in Formula 1. The company’s chief marketing officer, Melton Littlepage, said that a team’s research, engineering, testing and on-track performance data can affect its competitiveness. The sponsorship therefore serves both an operational partnership and a brand-marketing purpose; the available announcement does not quantify the commercial return for either organization.

Where does the 1Password logo appear?
The February 2025 announcement listed branding on the cars, inside the halo, on the steering-wheel startup display, on driver and pit-crew suits and team kit, and on garage screens. The driver references are season-specific: that announcement named Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson, while current campaign and partnership pages reference Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar. Driver lineups and car branding can change from season to season.
Does 1Password support F1 Academy?
Yes. 1Password is the Official Cybersecurity Partner of the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme and supports F1 Academy driver Alisha Palmowski. In June 2025, 1Password described a bespoke livery for Palmowski’s car during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. The Academy element pairs the commercial partnership with visibility for women in motorsport; it is distinct from the team’s cybersecurity deployment.

Can individual consumers use 1Password?
Yes. The Red Bull partnership is an enterprise deployment, but consumers can separately subscribe to or trial 1Password. Its campaign page currently advertises a 14-day trial, a 25% consumer discount, and promotional monthly prices of $2.99 for an individual plan and $4.49 for a family plan when paid annually.
