As of Google’s September 29, 2026 Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA listing, eligible Pixel devices range from the Pixel 6a through the Pixel 11 series, with the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold also included. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not listed. Beta eligibility can change with later releases, so check Google’s current Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA page for the live list.
Pixel phones and tablets on the Android 17 QPR2 Beta list
The following models appear on Google’s Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA page dated September 29, 2026. This is a release-specific list, not a promise that every model will remain eligible for later beta builds.
- Pixel 6: Pixel 6a. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro do not appear on the current list.
- Pixel 7: Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a.
- Pixel 8: Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a.
- Pixel 9: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a.
- Pixel 10: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 10a.
- Pixel 11: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
- Other Pixel devices: Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.
Google’s page lists supported devices for the QPR2 Beta OTA images; it does not state why the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro are absent. Confirm the exact model against the live list before enrolling or installing an image.
Beta eligibility is different from stable Android 17 updates
Google maintains separate guidance for Android 17 Beta and stable Android 17 updates. A model’s appearance on the stable-update page does not establish that it is eligible for the current Beta, and the Beta list should not be treated as a stable-release compatibility list. See Google’s Android 17 stable update guidance for stable-update information.

How to get Android 17 Beta updates on a supported Pixel
Enroll for Beta over the air
Google’s Android Beta for Pixel program is the standard enrollment route for supported devices. After a beta build has been installed, Google says the device is automatically enrolled to receive ongoing beta OTA updates—including QPR builds—until it is unenrolled. The current device list and enrollment information are on Google’s Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA page.
Install an image manually
Google also documents flashing or manually installing a system image as an alternative. Follow the instructions for the specific device and build rather than using an image intended for a different Pixel model. Google’s Android 17 QPR1 setup instructions describe the setup options.

Back up first, and understand how opting out works
Google strongly recommends backing up the device before installation. On the QPR2 OTA page, Google warns that unlocking the bootloader requires a full device reset and removes all user data. That warning applies to bootloader unlocking; it does not mean every Beta installation necessarily wipes a device.
Google’s QPR1 instructions say that after applying a stable release, a user may opt out of future Beta updates without a data wipe during a limited window. That window ends when the next Beta update is applied. Check Google’s current QPR instructions before opting out, because program timing and rules may change.
