The series Arturo Pérez-Reverte praised is Pennyworth, a Batman-universe drama about Alfred Pennyworth before he becomes Bruce Wayne’s butler. A report updated November 13, 2024 said it was in Max’s catalog at that time, but that dated listing does not establish where it streams today or in your country. Check your local streaming catalog before subscribing or renting.

Where can you watch Pennyworth?
MeriStation reported that Pennyworth was in Max’s catalog when its article was updated on November 13, 2024. That is a historical availability report, not confirmation of the current catalog, the availability of all three seasons, or access in every country. Streaming rights and catalogs vary by territory and can change; check the service’s local listing for Pennyworth and confirm the seasons offered before paying.
DC’s official TV catalog does not establish whether the series is currently available to stream. No other current provider or rental option is confirmed here, so do not treat Max as a verified present-day answer for your location.

What did Pérez-Reverte say about it?
MeriStation attributes the praise to a post dated August 23, 2022, in which Pérez-Reverte said he had watched two seasons on HBO and especially enjoyed the second. In the Spanish text reproduced by the publication, he praised the writers’ irreverence and “intelligent and ironic impertinence.” The post reflects what he watched at that time; it does not indicate where the show is available now.
