You can watch Apple TV+ through the Apple TV app on many Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, Android phones and tablets, Windows devices, and some cable boxes. You can also stream at tv.apple.com in a web browser. You do not need to buy an Apple TV 4K: a compatible device you already own may be enough.
Where to watch Apple TV+ shows and movies
Apple TV+ is available in the Apple TV app and on the web. Apple lists Apple TV 4K, Samsung, LG, VIZIO, Sony, Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Xfinity, PlayStation, Xbox, Hisense, and TCL among the options on its U.S. service page. The page also links to viewing options for Apple devices, Android, Windows, and web browsers. See Apple’s U.S. Apple TV page for its current list.
Compatibility can vary by model and software version, so a device brand appearing on Apple’s list does not guarantee that every product from that brand supports the app. Check Apple’s current compatibility information for your specific TV or streaming device before relying on it.

Choose the easiest route for your setup
- Already have a compatible TV, streaming device, console, phone, or computer? Look for the Apple TV app and sign in with your Apple account.
- Prefer not to install an app? Try tv.apple.com in a supported web browser.
- Your TV does not support the app? A compatible streaming device or Apple TV 4K can provide another way to watch. Consider the hardware cost before buying one solely for the subscription.
How much Apple TV+ costs
Apple’s U.S. service page displayed a seven-day free trial followed by $14.99 per month when checked for this article. That is a U.S. offer, not a worldwide price; Apple’s Namibia page displayed different local terms. Prices and promotions can change, so check the page for your country before subscribing: Apple’s U.S. page and Apple’s Namibia page.

Apple also listed access through Apple One, access with the Apple Music Student Plan, and three months of Apple TV+ with an eligible Apple TV 4K purchase on its U.S. page. These are eligibility-dependent offers, not benefits every viewer necessarily receives. Review the current terms before choosing a plan or buying hardware.
Sharing with family
Apple says its U.S. subscription can be shared with up to five family members at no extra charge. Check Apple’s current account and Family Sharing terms to confirm eligibility for your household.

What an Apple TV+ subscription includes
The subscription is for Apple Originals, including series and films. Apple describes new releases as arriving weekly and lists titles such as Severance, The Morning Show, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, The Studio, Hijack, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Your Friends & Neighbors, and The Gorge. These are examples, not a complete catalog; the available lineup can change.

Sports availability depends on country and timing
Apple’s U.S. page lists Friday Night Baseball, with two MLB matchups each Friday during the regular season. It also says that, from 2026, subscribers in the U.S. can watch every Major League Soccer match and every Formula 1 Grand Prix. Sports rights and geographic availability can change; verify the current schedule and country-specific terms on Apple’s page before subscribing for a particular event.

No. Apple TV 4K is one way to stream the service, but the Apple TV app and browser option mean many viewers can watch using devices they already own. Buy a dedicated streaming box only if your current setup lacks a compatible app or you want the hardware for your TV; an eligible Apple TV 4K purchase may come with a three-month offer in the U.S., subject to Apple’s current terms.
