Sliding-tile puzzles
Arrange numbered tiles in order by sliding them into the empty square. Puzzle.now lists 3×3, 4×4 and 5×5 boards—also described as 8-, 15- and 24-tile puzzles—and says its scrambles are guaranteed solvable. That solvability statement is the site’s claim, not an independent test.
Nonograms
Use the number clues beside each row and above each column to work out which consecutive cells to fill. Marking filled and empty cells reveals a picture when the grid is solved. Nonograms are also known as Picross, Griddlers, Hanjie, Paint by Numbers and Japanese crosswords.
