What Rockstar currently confirms
- Release date: November 19, 2026, according to Rockstar’s GTA VI page as of October 4, 2026.
- Listed platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on Rockstar’s GTA VI page and its platforms, editions, and versions support article, last updated August 18, 2026.
- PC: The cited Rockstar pages do not list a PC release date. That means a PC date is not announced in those sources; it does not establish whether a PC version will or will not be released in the future.
How to interpret platform-specific announcements
Platform holders may publish additional details about their own systems. For example, Sony’s PlayStation Blog post about GTA VI on PS5, published June 24 and updated June 26, 2026, discusses PS5 features and repeats the November 19 date. It is useful for PS5-specific information, but Rockstar’s page remains the cross-platform reference for the current list of platforms and date.

Check purchase details separately from announcements
Following updates does not require buying GTA VI. If you are checking purchase information, Rockstar’s support pages list the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store, and select retailers as routes, with availability varying by country. Its support article says the physical retail version comes in a box with a digital download code and no disc. Rockstar’s pre-order details page, last updated June 26, 2026, provides further storefront information.
