Go to the Nightmare Neighborhood POI in Fortnite Battle Royale and defeat Freddy Krueger. He drops Freddy’s Nightmare, a weapon that teleports you into range of opponents and slashes them. Fortnitemares 2026 is scheduled to run through November 1, 2026, so the location and item may no longer be available after the event.
Where is Freddy Krueger in Fortnite?
Freddy Krueger is at Nightmare Neighborhood, a point of interest on the Battle Royale island. Epic Games identifies the POI and says Freddy is waiting there in its Fortnitemares 2026 announcement.
Epic does not provide map coordinates or a specific route through the POI, so look for the named location on the in-game map rather than relying on a particular landing spot.
How to get Freddy’s Nightmare
- Enter a Battle Royale match while Fortnitemares 2026 content is available.
- Travel to Nightmare Neighborhood.
- Find and defeat Freddy Krueger.
- Collect Freddy’s Nightmare from the reward drop.
Defeating Freddy is the acquisition method confirmed by Epic. The weapon lets its wielder teleport into range and slash opponents, according to the official event announcement.

Can Freddy’s Nightmare appear in chests or as floor loot?
Beebom’s walkthrough reports that Freddy’s Nightmare may also appear as floor loot or in chests. Treat those as possible alternatives, not guaranteed sources: Epic’s announcement confirms Freddy’s drop but does not confirm random loot spawns.
