Which Titanfall 2 VR mod do these requirements cover?
These instructions cover CircuitLord’s installer-based campaign conversion. Its installer locates a Titanfall 2 installation and installs Northstar and the mod into a separate TF2VR profile in the game directory. The project’s installer README describes its installation and launch flow; the current guide describes the Windows PC setup.
TinyBlkDog’s project is different: it is a Northstar plugin that hooks the game’s DirectX 11 renderer and uses OpenXR. Its requirements, headset testing, and maturity should not be treated as evidence for CircuitLord’s mod. The TinyBlkDog project README labels v0.1.1 as alpha and single-player only.
What you need for CircuitLord’s installer
- A Windows PC: The game runs on the PC while you wear the connected headset. CircuitLord’s current guide does not publish a minimum CPU, GPU, memory specification, or frame-rate target.
- A PC installation of Titanfall 2: You must own and install the game. The installer README says it can locate Steam, EA app, or Xbox installations. The current guide says the EA app must be available and signed in; launching the game normally for the first time can install the EA app.
- A VR headset connected to the PC: This is not a standalone headset experience. The reviewed installer README does not provide a complete model-by-model compatibility list, so no particular headset model can be named as universally required.
- A working VR runtime: The README says to start SteamVR or the headset’s runtime of choice before launching the mod.
- CircuitLord’s installer and Northstar: The installer sets up Northstar with the mod in a separate
TF2VRprofile.
How to launch the mod in VR
- Install Titanfall 2 through Steam, the EA app, or Xbox PC, and make sure the EA app is installed and signed in.
- Run CircuitLord’s installer and let it locate the game and install Northstar and the mod in its
TF2VRprofile. - Start SteamVR or the runtime used by your headset.
- Choose the installer’s Launch in VR action. Starting Titanfall 2 normally from Steam launches the unmodded game, according to the installer README.
The conversion is campaign-focused. The README also says VR saves and settings are kept separately from the ordinary campaign save.

Does the mod require a specific gaming PC or headset?
No minimum PC specification or target frame rate is published for CircuitLord’s mod in the current guide. That means there is no supported basis here for calling a particular GPU, CPU, or memory amount sufficient. The fact that another project lists a powerful test PC does not establish a minimum for this installer-based conversion.
Likewise, the evidence supports the category—a PC VR headset connected to the computer—not a specific required model or a complete compatibility list. The installer’s runtime instructions are broad, but they are not a model-by-model certification.

What to know about TinyBlkDog’s separate plugin
TinyBlkDog’s plugin uses OpenXR and requires Titanfall 2 on Steam or the EA app, Northstar, an OpenXR runtime, and a PC-VR-capable GPU. Its README identifies Meta Quest 3 and Play For Dream MR through Virtual Desktop’s VDXR as tested combinations. Those are tests for TinyBlkDog’s plugin, not CircuitLord’s installer.
The same README lists a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 32 GB of memory, and Windows 11 as its test system. These are test-system details, not a minimum specification for either project. TinyBlkDog also says its alpha defaults to 75% resolution; that setting is specific to that plugin.

Is Titanfall 2 comfortable to play in VR?
Expect intense movement rather than a stationary shooter. The current guide says snap turning is available, but it does not remove the motion from wall-running and grappling. It attributes this assessment to Road to VR’s Scott Hayden: “The amount of motion in the game goes above and beyond even a regular flatscreen shooter.” If you are sensitive to motion, consider your tolerance before installing; snap turning does not eliminate the movement itself.
