SecurityWeek’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Risk Summit was a two-day conference held June 25–26, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, California. It focused on cybersecurity and risk issues arising as organizations adopt AI, including enterprise use of generative and predictive AI, adversarial uses of AI, deepfakes, and policy and regulatory compliance. The event has passed.

What the 2024 summit covered

SecurityWeek presented the summit as a forum for guidance on managing AI-related risk and cybersecurity as AI adoption grows. The announced subject matter connected practical enterprise deployment with the ways AI can be misused and with emerging compliance concerns.

  • Enterprise use of generative and predictive AI
  • Adversarial use of AI and deepfakes
  • Policy and regulatory compliance
  • Risk management and cybersecurity for organizations adopting AI

The intended audience included security and risk management executives, AI researchers, policymakers, software developers, and business and government stakeholders. SecurityWeek described a program format involving keynotes, panels, fireside chats, research, and technical presentations.

How it related to the CISO Forum

SecurityWeek’s June 2024 update said the AI Risk Summit ran alongside its CISO Forum Summer Summit and Golf Classic. According to that event update, one ticket covered both the AI Risk Summit and CISO Forum Summer Summit, included meals and exclusive dinners, and provided an opportunity to participate in the Golf Classic. This describes the organizer’s arrangement for the 2024 event, not a standing policy for future editions.

Both dates have passed, so those figures are historical rather than current offers.

Was there another SecurityWeek AI Risk Summit?

Yes. SecurityWeek later announced a separate edition scheduled for August 11–12, 2026, also at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay. Those dates have passed as well.
