Start with Spider-Man: Far From Home, the immediate theatrical follow-up to Avengers: Endgame. Then choose shows and films by the story you want to follow: Wanda and Vision, the Captain America legacy, or the multiverse. You do not need to watch every Marvel title to make sense of what comes next.
What should I watch after Avengers: Endgame?
For a manageable first pass, use this release-era path. It puts the direct follow-up first, then groups later titles by the threads they develop rather than suggesting every entry is essential.
- Spider-Man: Far From Home — the immediate theatrical follow-up to Endgame, and a look at a world adjusting to what happened. Marvel lists it among the related movies on its Endgame page.
- WandaVision — follow Wanda and Vision’s story. Agatha All Along is a later continuation of this thread.
- The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — explores the post-Blip world and the question of who takes up the Captain America legacy.
- Loki, Seasons 1 and 2 — watch for a story branching from the time-heist events and for the multiverse thread. Its placement needs a little care; see below.
- Choose later films by interest: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
- Choose additional shows and specials by character or team: Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Secret Invasion, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and The Marvels.
- Agatha All Along — a natural next step if you want to continue the WandaVision-related story.
This is a selective catch-up route, not a complete official chronology or a claim that every title is required. Marvel’s official MCU timeline article includes these films and shows among the titles it discusses: Marvel’s MCU timeline guide.

For a first viewing, following the release-era path above is easier to track: it presents the stories in the order audiences encountered the post-Endgame slate. If you want events arranged by when they happen in the MCU, Marvel points viewers to its timeline-ordered MCU collection on Disney+. Time travel and multiverse plots make a simple chronological list less straightforward, so use that collection as a guide rather than assuming every story fits neatly into one uninterrupted sequence.

| Approach | Best for | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Release-era path | First-time clarity | Begin with Far From Home, then pick the character and story branches that interest you. |
| MCU timeline order | Watching by in-universe chronology | Use Marvel’s timeline-ordered collection on Disney+; complex time-travel and multiverse stories may complicate strict chronology. |
| Selective character path | Less viewing time or a specific story goal | Prioritize post-Blip Earth, Wanda and Vision, the Captain America legacy, or multiverse developments. |
Do I need to watch Loki after Endgame?
Loki is useful if you want to follow the multiverse, but it is not a straightforward continuation of the main post-Endgame present. Marvel says the series resumes after Endgame; its episode-one recap explains the distinction: the Loki in the series is a variant who escapes with the Tesseract during the Avengers’ 2012 time-heist events. His story branches from that earlier moment, rather than simply carrying on from the main timeline’s ending.
Which Marvel shows are important after Endgame?
“Important” depends on which characters or stories you want to follow; there is no need to treat every series as mandatory. Use these groupings to narrow your watch list:
Rank #2
- Wanda and Vision: WandaVision, then Agatha All Along.
- Captain America’s legacy and the post-Blip world: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
- Multiverse and timeline branches: Loki, Seasons 1 and 2.
- Other character or team threads: Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Secret Invasion, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special; The Marvels continues a film thread among these titles.
Where can I watch these titles?
Marvel’s TV catalog identifies Disney+ as the streaming destination for its Marvel series: Marvel TV shows. Marvel also directs viewers to its Disney+ MCU timeline collection. Streaming rights and catalogs vary by country and change, so check the current listings in your local service before planning a watch-through.

If you prefer a visual reference, Marvel Studios: The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline is an optional companion. Marvel describes it as a visual guide created with Marvel Studios that follows the story through the Blip and beyond, and announced it as available wherever books are sold. It can help orient you to chronology and continuity, but it is not needed to follow the watch path here. See Marvel’s announcement of the official timeline book.
