Check the order details and tracking, preserve the packaging, and use the relevant steps below for a missing delivery, missing contents, shipping damage, or a card defect. Pokémon Center, TCGplayer, and Pokémon Support have different procedures; the examples here reflect their reviewed US-English guidance and do not establish the rules for every retailer or country.
What to do first
- Open the order record. Confirm the shipping address, tracking number, estimated delivery date, and whether the order has more than one parcel.
- Check the tracking details. If it says delivered, look for a delivery photo or notice and check alternate drop-off spots, shared mail areas, and with household members, neighbors, or building staff. TCGplayer advises allowing 36 hours after a delivered scan because a carrier may mark a parcel delivered before it physically arrives.
- Check for a partial order explanation. Look for canceled items, separate tracking numbers, and any gift-with-purchase requirements before reporting missing contents.
- Keep evidence. Save the order confirmation, messages, tracking details, packing slip, shipping label, and packaging. Photograph the received contents and any damage clearly. Do not discard packaging unless support says it is no longer needed.
- Contact the right team promptly. Use the seller’s marketplace order thread or the retailer’s official support channel. Include the order number, what happened, relevant dates, and the evidence you have. Keep the exchange documented on the platform.
- Escalate within the stated window. If the seller does not respond or the proposed solution does not resolve the issue, use the platform’s support route without letting its claim deadline pass.
If a Pokémon Center order is missing or incomplete
Tracking says delivered, but you cannot find the parcel
Pokémon Center recommends checking the tracking details for a delivery photo, looking at alternate drop-off locations such as a back door or common area, and asking neighbors or the building office. If the package remains missing, contact Pokémon Center through its package-delivery guidance.
Tracking has not updated
Pokémon Center’s support page, updated August 14, 2026, gives different contact thresholds by destination or service: 15 days for the United States (30 days for SmartPost), 30 days for Canada and Guam, Puerto Rico, or other US territories, 45 days for APO/military addresses, and 9 days for the United Kingdom. The page cautions that the parcel may still arrive before the applicable threshold. These are Pokémon Center guidance, not general shipping deadlines; check its current instructions before acting.
The parcel arrived, but an item is missing
Check your order history for canceled items and multiple tracking numbers; large or multi-item orders may ship separately. A promotional gift may only be included if the eligibility requirements were met and the gift remained in the cart through checkout. If these checks do not explain the omission, contact support. Pokémon Center requests one clear photo of the received contents with the packing slip or shipping label visible and legible. Its missing-item instructions also request photos or documentation of damage and photos of damaged packaging when shipping damage occurred.

The parcel was returned to sender
Pokémon Center says a refund is generally processed 5–10 business days after it receives the returned parcel when delivery fails because of an address issue. It says it cannot replace returned items, including items that are out of stock; after correcting the address, you may need to place a new order. See its package guidance.
An item bought directly from Pokémon Center is damaged or defective
For a non-final-sale item, Pokémon Center’s current damage and defect policy allows a refund return within 30 days after delivery; it does not offer exchanges. Damage to the outer box or wrap alone may not qualify: Pokémon Center says package wear is normal and the packaging is intended to protect the product. Final-sale items cannot be refunded solely because their box or outer wrap is damaged.

If a TCGplayer order is late or missing
It has not arrived by the estimated date
Check the order’s tracking and estimated delivery date. If tracking says “Out for Delivery,” TCGplayer recommends contacting the local post office; for other statuses, message the seller from Order History. For certain domestic tracked parcels with no acceptance scan, TCGplayer’s missing-package guidance gives a four-business-day threshold before asking the buyer to contact the seller.
TCGplayer’s refund and return policy says to contact the seller after the estimated delivery date and no later than 30 calendar days after that date. The seller has two business days to respond, after which you may escalate to TCGplayer Customer Service. If you report the problem on the estimated date or during the following two business days, the seller may ask you to wait until the estimated date plus two business days. After that grace period, the policy says the seller must refund a package that has not arrived. A report made more than two business days after the estimated date is expected to be refunded immediately. Pre-sale products are handled separately until after release and shipment with an estimated delivery date.

Tracking says delivered, but the package is absent
Verify the shipping address, check for an attempted-delivery notice, search the delivery location, ask household members or neighbors, and consider contacting the local post office. Wait 36 hours after the delivered scan, then message the seller promptly. If there is no seller reply within two business days, contact TCGplayer Customer Service; the seller may need to open a carrier case. These steps are in TCGplayer’s missing-package guidance.
If the order arrived damaged
Shipping damage on a TCGplayer order
TCGplayer’s policy says: “If you receive an order that is damaged during shipping, please do not open the package and contact the seller as soon as possible.” Preserve the unopened parcel and its label while you contact the seller. The policy says the seller should refund with return of the package. If you open it, the seller may choose to refund only the damaged products; opened sealed products are not eligible for refund under this policy. See the refund and return policy.

Damaged or incorrect singles
TCGplayer generally does not accept ordinary returns of singles, but its policy lists exceptions when a card’s condition differs from what was ordered, the card, set, or printing is wrong, or singles are missing from the package. Contact the seller promptly and within the stated 30-day limit. The same policy governs the seller contact and escalation process.

A manufacturing defect is different from damage caused in transit. Pokémon Support’s exchange process applies to eligible Pokémon TCG products bought through third-party retailers; PokémonCenter.com purchasers should contact Pokémon Center instead. Pokémon Support says it assists only with products released within the past year and requires all requested details within 10 business days of purchase. Its product-defect page asks for a store receipt showing the store name and payment information, the UPC from the original package, photos of defective cards and the opened contents laid out, an explanation, and any other requested details.

The process exchanges whole booster packs, not individual cards. More than half the cards in a pack must be affected; minor scratches or printing defects do not qualify. Check the current eligibility terms on the support page before submitting a request.
Evidence to keep
- Order confirmation, order ID, and the seller’s messages.
- Tracking page, delivery photo, and any attempted-delivery notice.
- Packing slip or shipping label, with details legible.
- Clear photos of all received contents and the cards or products at issue.
- If the outer package is damaged, photos of it before opening and the packaging itself.
- For a manufacturing-defect request, the original packaging and UPC, plus the store receipt.
Pokémon Center and Pokémon Support specify particular photos or purchase details in their missing-item and defect instructions. TCGplayer says to contact the seller before opening a parcel damaged in shipping, so follow the applicable support instructions before opening or returning one.
