Before deciding whether a DJI Flip deal is worth it, check which package is actually for sale: the Flip with an RC-N3 controller, the Flip with an RC 2, or the Fly More Combo with RC 2. Then compare condition, battery count, accessories, seller terms, and the price for the same configuration in your region. DJI’s U.S. store page captured in 2026 listed those packages at $439, $639, and $779, respectively, but showed them out of stock; those figures are a dated store snapshot, not a current market-price guide.
Identify the exact DJI Flip package
DJI sells distinct Flip configurations, so a low advertised price is meaningful only when you know what is included. In the U.S. store snapshot captured in 2026, DJI listed the following options and marked them out of stock:
| Configuration | DJI U.S. store snapshot | What to verify in the listing |
|---|---|---|
| DJI Flip with RC-N3 | USD $439 | Confirm the RC-N3 is included. It uses a compatible smartphone to show the live feed and flight status. |
| DJI Flip with RC 2 | USD $639 | Confirm the RC 2 is in the box and compare the package against the Fly More Combo. |
| DJI Flip Fly More Combo with RC 2 | USD $779 | Confirm the RC 2, two additional batteries, charging hub, shoulder bag, and other listed contents are included. |
These are volatile U.S. store-page figures, not current recommendations or third-party market benchmarks. Regional stores may show other currencies and prices. Compare listings from the same region and account for taxes, shipping, warranty, and return terms rather than comparing a U.S. price directly with another market.
Check the controller and app requirements
DJI’s support FAQ lists the DJI RC 2, RC-N3, and RC-N2 as compatible with the Flip. The RC-N3 package depends on a smartphone for the display, so check that the phone you intend to use is compatible with DJI Fly and that the package includes the cables you need. DJI lists minimum operating-system versions on its support page; verify those requirements for your phone before purchasing.

For used or open-box listings, ask the seller to identify the controller by model rather than saying only “remote included.” A controller mismatch can change both the value and setup experience of an otherwise identical-looking drone package.
Value the bundle by what you will use
DJI describes the Fly More Combo with RC 2 as including two additional batteries beyond the single battery in the standard in-box package description, plus a charging hub, shoulder bag, and more. Check the exact listing inventory: a seller’s bundle description is not proof that every accessory is present, and package contents can vary by region or listing.

- Batteries: Count them individually and ask about age, storage, swelling, charging behavior, and remaining capacity if the unit is used.
- Charging equipment: Confirm whether a charger and hub are included. DJI recommends its 65W Portable Charger or a USB Power Delivery charger. Hub-based parallel charging requires a charger meeting DJI’s specified power, current, and PD conditions, plus a cable rated for at least 5A and supporting PD; otherwise, batteries charge individually.
- Storage card: DJI recommends microSDXC cards with U3/A2/V30 designations and lists Kingston CANVAS Go! Plus and Lexar Professional models in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities. Check the exact card model and speed markings instead of assuming an unlisted card has been validated by DJI.
- Bag and small accessories: Assign value only to items you would otherwise buy or use. A bundle is not automatically a better deal because it has more items.
Inspect a used or refurbished Flip carefully
DJI’s product material describes a foldable full-coverage propeller guard, but the condition of an individual used aircraft must be assessed in person or through clear photos and seller answers. Ask about crashes, water exposure, repairs, and battery history. Inspect the guard and propellers for cracks, deformation, loose parts, or mismatched replacements; DJI provides a propeller-replacement tutorial, and its spare-propeller listings are model-specific.
DJI states, “DJI Flip is not waterproof.” If rain occurs, DJI advises returning and landing promptly, then allowing the aircraft to dry fully before use. A seller’s claim that a drone works does not establish that it has no hidden water or impact damage. Request evidence of a safe power-up and normal operation, and make sure the return terms allow you to report a problem after receiving it.

Put headline performance in context
DJI’s product material describes the Flip as under 249 g, with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, 4K/60fps HDR video, and up to 31 minutes of maximum flight time. DJI’s 2025 product announcement says the flight-time figure was tested under controlled conditions and actual experience may vary. Treat it as a manufacturer maximum, not a promise of usable flight time from every battery or used aircraft.

The under-249 g figure is a product specification, not a universal exemption from aviation rules. Registration, remote-identification requirements, flight permissions, and operating restrictions depend on where and how you fly. Check the relevant aviation authority for your location before buying on the assumption that the drone can be flown without additional obligations.

- Match the package: Compare RC-N3 with RC-N3, RC 2 with RC 2, and Fly More Combo with the same bundle—not a bare aircraft against a complete kit.
- Confirm condition and inventory: Record whether it is new, used, or refurbished, and verify the controller, batteries, hub, charger, card, and other accessories actually included.
- Calculate the delivered cost: Include shipping and taxes, then compare that total with a current price for the same package in your region.
- Check seller protections: Review seller identity, return window, warranty coverage, and any protection-plan eligibility. These terms are specific to the seller, device, and purchase region.
- Decide whether the extras justify the difference: Give value only to accessories you need and can verify. The sources do not establish a universal best package without your budget and preferences.
The captured DJI U.S. store prices do not establish current third-party prices or validate an individual marketplace seller. For a used listing, ask whether the device has been activated, whether it can be linked and updated as expected, and what happens if it fails inspection; those details are seller- and device-specific.
Consider DJI Care Refresh separately
DJI Care Refresh is optional service coverage, not a substitute for checking a used drone’s condition or the seller’s return policy. DJI’s purchase guide lists the Flip among models supported for flyaway service, and DJI described replacement coverage at launch. Check the current plan price, eligibility window, service terms, and availability for your region and the specific device before treating coverage as part of the deal.
